Something Blue at Prestwold Hall

Written by Emma Hla
Indulge in a modern Bridgerton romance at Prestwold Hall, where blue tones reign supreme. Inspired by chic Parisian aesthetics, this palette harmoniously blends textures and delicate details.

Drawing from Prestwold Hall’s architectural beauty, the cream walls of the dining room find reflection in the delicate layered tablescape adorned with a delightful blue palette. Gigil & Bloom’s expert floral arrangements, featuring hydrangeas and cream blooms, seamlessly unite the venue and styling. A regal-inspired floral arch adds grandeur and complements Prestwold’s charm.

With a talented local team, photographer Faye Wilde curated every element to showcase Prestwold’s enchanting backdrop. From dreamy letterpress invitations to gracefully elegant attire and creative portraits in the Orangery, the team revelled in the venue’s dynamic spaces, offering abundant inspiration at every turn.

Notes from the Photographer

Fayes says…

Prestwold Hall is the perfect venue for those wanting a modern ‘Bridgerton’ wedding. (Anyone else binged season 3 already?!) and blue is definitely coming back to the wedding world. You know it’s a good sign when you look on Pinterest but the images aren’t hitting the vibe check! That’s why I wanted to do my take on this palette. There’s a chic, minimalist and almost Parisian aesthetic that ties the venue, styling and details together. I love all the textures and delicate extras.

We sourced 3 bridal outfits by Jesus Peiro via Alexandra Anne Bridal. Jesus Peiro is the perfect brand for the modern couple, wanting something sleek but still impactful. We intentionally chose to switch up hair and make up rather than a full outfit change as to inspire those who want to keep the same outfits on throughout the day.

The delicate layered table scape was inspired by the venue itself and it’s architecture and vibe. Prestwold is such a beautiful venue, with so many nooks and crannies that make the perfect backdrop for your photos we wanted to compliment the cream walls of the dining room with our delicious blue palette.

Gigil & Bloom nailed the brief, choosing hydrangeas and a variety of white and cream flowers to tie the venue and the styling details together perfectly. The statement floral arch was inspired by Royal weddings, and the textures work so beautifully with the venue.

The team are all local to the East Midlands and so talented. From the bridal PJs to the two gowns, each look was curated especially for prestwold’s stunning backdrop. There is so much inspiration, from the pillowy letterpress invitations to the statement but elegant bridal… and some creative portraits in the Orangery. Throughout the shoot we worked the venue, showing off as many backdrops as possible.

Prestwold is such a dynamic building and venue. A real joy to shoot.
