Timed beautifully with the Chelsea Flower Show, this editorial, captured at a recent Open Day, celebrates nature at its most abundant. With everything in full bloom, there’s no better moment to showcase the floral splendour—it’s a fitting tribute to the season’s beauty and a reminder of how effortlessly the barn venue harmonises with the rhythms of the natural world.
The theme of the styled shoot was a seamless fusion of modern elegance, timeless beauty and romantic charm. The editorial embraced a sophisticated yet understated aesthetic, with contemporary details complementing the classic romance of Scarlet Hall’s venue. Soft, flowing fabrics, delicate florals, and modern accents all combine to create an ethereal atmosphere—an environment where the love story feels both timeless and current.
The chosen colour palette for the shoot consisted of serene, soft pastel hues. Shades of mint, moss, lavender, blush and subtle pops of wine worked together to evoke a sense of romance and elegance. These colours set the tone for a graceful, sophisticated celebration that could seamlessly suit any season, enhancing the overall atmosphere of timeless charm and love.
Dale Alexander Events, the mastermind behind the styling for the shoot, created an ethereal atmosphere that exuded romance from every corner. The barn’s weathered ceiling beams were draped in soft, white sheer fabrics that spanned the length of the space, adding airy elegance. As evening approached, the warm glow of candles illuminated the venue, casting a soft light that heightened the intimacy of the atmosphere.
The dramatic wild meadows outside Scarlet Hall became a striking focal point for the dining setup, where lush florals and intricate details added a natural touch to the barn’s rustic interior. Statement urns positioned at the back of the barn provided a visual wow factor, framing the space and drawing the eye to the beautifully styled tablescapes.
Floral designs by Sass Flower complemented the enchanting, nature-inspired décor. The layout featured a serpentine arrangement weaving down the barn, flanked by low, meadow-like grass that echoed the natural beauty outside. The natural beauty outside, flowing through the tables, creating a harmonious link between the outdoors and indoors. Coloured candles in a variety of low and medium taper holders added a soft, romantic glow, while the two large, wild-urn displays at the back of the barn provided the perfect finishing touch, framing the room and creating a picture-perfect setting.
The soft colour palette, romantic florals and ethereal décor can be seamlessly integrated into any celebration, big or small. By collaborating with Scarlet Hall’s recommended suppliers, couples can make their dream wedding come to life – whether they’re hosting a cosy gathering for close family and friends or an extravagant celebration with up to 80 guests.
Scarlet Hall offers the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern luxury, making it an unforgettable setting for couples looking to create a wedding day filled with romance, elegance and timeless beauty.
