Neutral Minimalism at Waresley Park Estate

The gardens at Waresley Park Estate are simply stunning, providing the perfect backdrop for this romantic, modern editorial.

I’m an absolute sucker for a garden arch walkway, you? And if it’s blossoming wisteria, well, I’m sold. This is where today’s creative team decided to set up the stylish dining scene, and believe me, it’s an absolute dream. Complete with dusky pink blooms and rich textures, it looks right at home here in the gardens. This just goes to show how wonderfully a theme can turn out when you work sympathetically with your surroundings, and not against them.

Photographer Masha Unwerth has captured the relaxed, romantic summery vibes perfectly…enjoy.

Waresley Park Estate in Cambridgeshire was the perfect venue for this relaxed summer editorial. The gorgeous house with its unique features provided an excellent backdrop, and of course not forgetting the beautiful, elegant gardens and grounds. It was these gardens that really blew us away – the pretty rambling flowers, the cool shaded spots and historical features suited the outside summer vibe for our styled shoot perfectly.

The theme was modern glamour but with simplistic details, so we focused on nudes, pinks and whites. This pastel colour palette looked really fresh and modern in the gardens at Waresley Park, especially under the wisteria arch which we chose as the location for our intimate dining set up.

The dress from Shades of White was classic and minimal in style, made from plain white satin with a low back and beautiful button detail. This bridal style, coupled with a chic low bun hairstyle and soft romantic make up was absolutely perfect for our stylish modern theme. The suit was the model’s own, which was again very classic and matched our bride perfectly, they looked stunning together!

We wanted a neutral colour scheme throughout but with a romantic feel so we included soft minimalistic details and varying textures into the decor and tablescape styling. It looked incredible in the summer but would actually suit any time of year.

The florist was Sara’s Events Flowers & Styling who made the most gorgeous bouquet bursting with white and blush roses, peonies and dried flowers with hints of pinks and soft browns. She also made a handful of table arrangements to match. The dusky pink palette was reflected through the candles, the table runner and the rustic earthenware crockery. The table was finished with luxury glassware and black cutlery which gave the setting a cool, modern twist.

We hope couples take inspiration from this relaxed summer wedding feature when planning their own real weddings. There are so many beautiful ideas to take away; from the gorgeous soft colour palette to the stunning table setting and exterior decor. A take on this fresh, romantic vibe will gracefully elevate the elegance of any wedding.
