Modern Monochrome Beach Wedding Inspiration

Written by Emma Hla
Modern monochrome.

We rarely feature shoots or weddings that don’t showcase one of our beautiful venues, after all our mission is to inspire you in your venue search! But, as we have so many incredible beach wedding venues in our collection I couldn’t help but say yes to this modern monochrome beach wedding inspiration.

Created by British luxury wedding planners and stylists Best Events Company, who have been based in France for 11 years, we hope it inspires any couples looking to style their own beach wedding – whether here in the UK or at a stunning destination venue

Notes from the Planners

Generally our weddings are in beautiful chateaux but this summer we were approached by a lovely couple to create a very memorable elopement on a beach. Following a search we found a beautiful location for them with a mix of a sandy beach for the ceremony and impressive rugged cliffs for pre-wedding shots.

The bride chose a show stopping wedding gown from leading Australian wedding dress designer Made With Love Bridal. The gown, Lola was very fitted with and had crystals all over with a belt to cinch in the waist. The groom wore his own black suit. Expert hair and make up was done by French Hair and Makeup Artist Alexia Bigaud-Morin. Coralie wanted a dramatic look for her make up with natural windblown curls which perfected suited the mood.

The concept and styling was by Best Events Company in conjunction with our couple. The tablescape and flowers were by Our Fabulous Things in a black and white palette. Along with the tablescape we created a cosy and intimate lounging area for the couple to relax and chill. We worked closely with Coralie and Dylan with small details such as the slices of black agate with calligraphy used for the place names to the exquisite stationery designed by award winning British stationery designer Louise Richardson. Louise has incredible skills and understood what we wanted to achieve.

The dramatic bouquet was finished with long black velvet ribbons. We had low flowers down the centre of the table and for the ceremony we had industrial metal grills with asymmetrical flowers.

This look could easily be incorporated into a couple’s vision. Perfect for an elopement or micro wedding which wouldn’t look out of place on a beach, in a city or a rural setting.
