Luxury Garden Wedding Inspiration at Garthmyl Hall

Written by Caitlin Hoare
A charming summerhouse, a beautiful walled garden and a stylish country house wedding venue, welcome to summer weddings at Garthmyl Hall.

I’m lucky enough to know this Mid Wales wedding venue pretty well so it came as no surprise to learn that the creative team behind MILES Workshop chose Garthmyl Hall as their luxury garden wedding location. Cue editorial-style bridal looks, a dreamy al fresco dining situation and the most incredible ceremony flower arch, all featuring crisp white tones, with a cool Ibizan summer vibe.

Jessica says…

The gardens and surrounding landscape at Garthmyl Hall is breathtakingly beautiful, it really emulates a ‘secret garden’ vibe and during the summer months it comes to life and creates the most romantic setting, especially with the poppy field beyond in full bloom!

The theme was to showcase just how magical an outdoor garden wedding celebration can be and how you can bring modern and fresh styling to a classic wedding venue.

Simplistic, modern and clean colour palettes with delicate pastel tones and details ran alongside the backdrop. This shoot was organised in September with the beautiful golden light coming through, so we were able to get a real feel for what a beautiful late summers afternoon wedding party might be like.

The dresses were supplied by Nikeen Asaar which brought an elegant but modern vibe to the outfits. The hair and makeup by Daniella was was kept natural and effortless to complement the dresses, and beautiful accessories by A.B.Ellie via Ghost Orchid Bride helped tie into the modern styling and finish off the look.

By keeping the decor modern and muted this added a minimal yet cool, luxury edge to the shoot theme. Ultimately we wanted it to have a natural effortless feel, yet still seem fresh and new. It also tied in well with the beautiful gardens at Garthmyl, not compromising the statement that they already create themselves. Light fabrics were used and neutral whites were a prominent colour choice for this inspiration piece.

Liberty Lane Flowers created a beautiful floral arch from clouds of white gypsophila, white garden roses and iridescent lunaria. This stylish floral theme continued through to the al fresco wedding breakfast table. The simple white tones created a high end luxury feel, with the roses bringing in a classic touch.

If you’re planning a beautiful country house wedding, deciding to hold your wedding breakfast or party outside if the weather allows means you can create a completely new atmospheric setting within your venue. With the right styling and decor choices this shoot demonstrates that it can also be done in a luxurious but modern way.
