At Kin House, a lovingly restored Georgian manor in Wiltshire, Lizzie and Chris created a celebration that was equal parts love and laughter, with photography and videography so joyful you’ll find yourself grinning before you’ve even finished scrolling.
But let’s talk about those flowers. Oh, the flowers. When your venue is as vibrant and stylish as Kin House, the florals need to rise to the occasion – and Tanya Lee Sutton absolutely delivered. Contemporary, quirky, colourful, and perfectly on brief, her flower clouds and ceremony backdrop demonstrated that when vision meets skill, magic happens. From the exclusive weekend house party vibes to that show-stopping oversized bouquet, this celebration hit every glorious note. Here’s how it all unfolded…
We wanted a venue where we could stay with our immediate families, bridesmaids, and groomsmen for the whole weekend. At Kin House, you can have exclusive use of the venue from Friday to Sunday. We also loved the interiors and the various spaces available for the ceremony, reception, and evening.
I wore a bespoke dress and veil by Grace Lane London. I went for a really simple, classic design with a low back, long fluted sleeves, and a maximalist veil that we designed together. In the evening, I wore a sequin halter mini dress from The Own Studio.
Chris wore a navy herringbone suit from Beggars Run.
We tried to style the wedding to match the interiors at Kin House (as it was one of the things we loved about it), but didn’t stick to a specific theme. Our florist, Tanya Lee Sutton, created something epic! She created flower clouds, an amazing backdrop for our ceremony, and handled all the dinner tablescaping and bouquets for me and my bridesmaids. I had an oversized bouquet with orchids, chocolate cosmos and gorgeous pink and orange tones. My bridesmaids all had single-variety flower bouquets, which were all different but connected to my bouquet.
Chris’s sister made our cake, which was more special than if we’d got one created by a professional, and it tasted amazing. We asked for a pretty simple design, and then my Grandma decorated the cake table with flowers from her garden.
Kin House did the rest of the catering. For the main meal, we had burrata with grilled nectarines, pork belly and a lemon meringue dessert.
Celle and Will, aka The Chamberlins, were our photographers for the day. We were drawn to their work because everyone looked so happy and authentically themselves in their photos. We’re very grateful we felt the same way about what they created for our wedding. They went above and beyond.
Our ceremony was really special. Some of our closest friends did readings – one read a passage from “Everything I Know About Love” by Dolly Alderton, and another read a poem by Pam Ayres called “He Never Leaves the Seat Up.” We also exchanged personal vows. The band (Saloon) played L.O.V.E by Nat King Cole for all our guests to sing along to during the ceremony.
The endless wedmin is worth it!
