Late Summer Wedding Inspiration at Plas Dinam Country House

Fresh, modern, untamed, epic.

These are just some of the words that spring to mind when writing this intro. The fashion, the florals and the energy from this styled shoot, curated by The Unbridled and Rebecca Marie Weddings, is insane. I love the fusion between old and new, and Plas Dinam Country House provides the perfect backdrop.

Happy Friday folks…

Notes from the Photographer & Stylist

Carla + REBECCA say…

This shoot was created around the beautiful Plas Dinam, we wanted to embrace the Manor House aspect and demonstrate how the variety of unique areas can be cohesively brought together for an entire guest experience. One of the main reasons for choosing Plas Dinam was its glass roofed stables, a special space with lots of potential.

Abundant floral arches and top table displays took centre stage with the bouquets highlighting the changing of the seasons. Modern grandeur was the overall styling goal with hanging lanterns, contemporary stationery and quirky yet beautiful gowns for maximum interest and texture.

The shoot had a muted palette throughout with nods to the end of the summer season and the moving into autumn.

Gowns from Daarlana Couture were chosen for their uniqueness and intricate dealing, a perfect match for the decadent surroundings. For the perfect amount of fusion these were paired with modern statement earrings, bridal wings and one of kind rings from Rhodes. Make up was kept fresh faced with a darker eye as the day turned into evening and hair kept simple to highlight the styling and the gowns themselves.

The changeover of seasons was highlighted with the blackberry favours, the foliage turning from green and the abundant harvest of florals. Muted tones were highlighted with the beaded lanterns and slightly pink ceramics to create laters of texture and interest.

The florist talent came from Twisted Sisters and Luna Bloom, both of them working together to create eye-catching installations throughout and a selection of delicate and breath taking bouquets. The ombre arch was without a doubt the star of the show with the top table and its floral facade a close second.

I think this shoot demonstrates that you are able to put your own twist on your wedding day styling regardless of the location and setting. Creating a fusion between old and new can create interest and there really are no rules. The second message this shoot conveys is that florals can create huge impact on your day and in my opinion it is always money well spent as it can totally elevate your day.
