Cluny Castle, where romance meets convenience just a stone’s throw away from home for Hannah & Alistair!

This Scottish gem stole the hearts of one lucky couple during their wedding venue hunt. With its breathtaking castle and picturesque grounds, Cluny provided the idyllic setting for H & A’s big day, making it an easy choice. The seamless experience from start to finish, including early check-in and the always-attentive Cluny team, allowed them to soak up every moment of their wedding weekend. And let’s talk about the details! From Hannah’s elegant gown to Ally’s timeless kilt, every aspect reflected their personalised style.

Notes from the Couple

Hannah & Alistair say…

When we started researching wedding venues in Scotland, we stumbled upon Cluny Castle, which was only a 15-minute drive from our house. When we visited, we were blown away by the sheer beauty of the Castle and its grounds and knew right away that was where we were going to get married.

The whole weekend was fantastic. We were able to check in early, which gave us a few hours to get things ready before the guests staying over arrived. All the staff on-site were brilliant and helped ensure everything ran smoothly, allowing us to relax and begin enjoying what was set to be an amazing weekend.

Hannah’s wedding dress was from La Novia in Edinburgh, paired with Jimmy Choos and matching Tiffany pearl earrings and necklace. Ally wore the kilt he got for his 18th Birthday. We wanted a classic theme, and white roses and dusty blue tied in with the bridesmaids’ dresses.

Platter & Pop did our catering, flowers, and styling. They were amazing, and having the same supplier do all three really made our lives so much easier, as everything tied in together perfectly.

We absolutely love cheese so we decided to have a cheese tower for our wedding, supplied by The Cheesery in Dundee.

Our photographer was Ricky Ballie, who has a documentary style of photography that we instantly loved. In the run-up, he was great at letting us know what to expect on the day, and on the wedding day, he was a calming, friendly presence throughout—a true professional!

The whole weekend was incredible from start to finish; we can’t pick a favourite part of the day! But if we can offer any advice, it would be to try and organise as much as possible as early as you can so you can relax and enjoy the run-up to your big day.
