Erin & Vinnie’s Tythe Barn Wedding

Written by Caitlin Hoare
Seeing 2021’s wedding galleries being published and then being able to share them here is such a JOY. Erin & Vinnie’s beautiful summer wedding is no exception.

The Tythe Barn in Oxfordshire is an exceptional wedding venue, I can totally see how Erin fell hard for this one! The romantic outdoor ceremony arch, the charming barn reception room with twinkling lights and just the right amount of flexibility to put your own stamp on the space, if you wish. This is one gorgeous post-pandemic wedding…gimme more of this please!

Notes from the Bride

Erin says…

Pre-Covid, we originally had a large guest list and I wanted an outdoor wedding. I had a huge list of venues to view but as soon as I saw The Tythe Barn, I crossed the rest off my list! The outdoor ceremony area was stunning with the wisteria covered pergola and big barn doors. If it were to rain then I wouldn’t have minded their indoor ceremony option either as it was just as stunning indoors! The venue absolutely has the best of both worlds.

I wanted a very relaxed theme. Keeping it natural with greens and whites. The venue didn’t need any styling at all as it was simply stunning already with its high ceilings, wooden beams and stone walls but I did order some artificial flowers from SHEIN and made the bouquets myself. I went for a lot of greenery and a few white flowers.

My mum organised our wedding cake for a surprise wedding present. She went with Heather from Hamilton Cakes in Essex and it was every girl’s sparkly dream cake! Heather did an amazing job and it tasted yummy too! The caterers were recommended by the venue, called Absolute Taste – the food was outstanding. We had lots of canapés for starters, roast pork belly for main and chocolate brownie for dessert.

We won a competition with The Kensington Photographer to have some money off one of their packages. I was so excited for them to photograph our wedding as their gallery was really impressive. Mick and Arnie were amazing, they captured all the little moments as well as the big ones. It was obvious how passionate they both were about photography and we instantly felt comfortable in their company.

Best part of the day

Both of us agreed that the best part of the day was when I was walking down the aisle and we saw each other for the first time. It was a moment you dream about and it really was like floating on clouds. I was very nervous though, even my chin was shaking!

From one couple to another…

Take time to enjoy each other’s company for a few moments throughout the day. After all, it is your day! Worry less about everyone else. I was so worried that I wouldn’t get round to saying hello to everyone that I barely sat down myself!
