‘Apricus’

I think we’d all like to be warmed by the sun right now; spring is teasing us, that’s for sure! Beth, from Bethan Amy Weddings and owner of The White Barn in Somerset, was inspired by the Latin word Apricus for this editorial. She combined bold colours with fresh fruits and exquisite table decor to bring their vision to life.

The White Barn was the perfect backdrop for our vibrant and dynamic shoot. Its whitewashed walls and polished concrete floors provided the ideal blank canvas to showcase the vivid colours we aimed to capture.

Our colour theme, inspired by the ancient Latin word “Apricus,” meaning “warmed by the sun,” was a unique blend of bright and bold hues of oranges, yellows, and lilacs. The natural palette of fresh fruits further enhanced this. We aimed to inspire future couples to venture beyond the traditional palettes, and with the help of our exceptional suppliers, we crafted daring tablescapes and bold ceremony setups.

The stunning summer combination of orange, yellow, and lilac was beautifully complemented by Millia London’s incredible designs. Their dresses were a highlight of our shoot. We also showcased exquisite jewellery from Julia Thompson and Victoria Fergusson and elegant bridal shoes by Freya Rose, all of which added a touch of elegance to our vibrant theme.

Holly from Frogmary Flowers was our talented florist, whose extraordinary floral arrangements were instrumental in realising our vision.
