Set against the romantic backdrop of Cornish gardens and a light-filled barn, their day was filled with personal touches, homegrown florals and a relaxed, joy-filled atmosphere. From growing many of their own flowers to styling the space themselves, every detail felt considered, meaningful and entirely their own.

We fell in love with Tredudwell Manor the very first time we visited. The beautiful gardens instantly felt special and were perfect for the summer wedding we’d always imagined. The barn’s natural light gave the space such a warm, romantic feel, and the house itself felt timeless and traditional.
We could immediately picture ourselves getting ready there on the morning of the wedding, and even more special, waking up the next day as newlyweds. It felt like a place where real memories would be made, not just a backdrop for one day.

Wedding dress shopping was something I was so excited for. I loved trying on dresses and twirling like a princess in every boutique we visited. I chose a Wed2Be dress that felt classic yet effortless, paired with Rainbow Club shoes. My accessories were kept simple, with earrings from Lace & Favour, and Gemma Campbell was our hair queen for the day. I decided to do my own makeup so I could feel completely like myself.

Styling and décor were really important to us, and we chose to take this on ourselves so everything felt personal and meaningful. We envisioned timeless, elegant summer florals and put so much love into the details. We grew the flowers, made the garden games and wedding signage (thanks dad!). We spent the day before the wedding with our favourite people, setting everything up. It made the whole experience even more special and meant the venue truly felt like ours.
We chose St Mellion Flowers for our bouquets, and they couldn’t have been more perfect. We asked for soft, pastel tones with a loose, natural arrangement, which beautifully suited the overall feel of the day. For the rest of the flowers, my dad grew many of the flowers we used for the centrepieces and signage, which made them incredibly special. We then finished everything off with single stems from H Watts Florist to tie the look together.

For our cake, we chose Swirls & Pearls and went for a three-tier design that tied in beautifully with our floral theme. It was important to us to include a little nod to our four-legged friend, too, which made it feel even more personal. Not only did it look incredible, but it also tasted absolutely delicious.
For catering, we chose Divine Dining, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for more. Hannah and Ross made the entire process so easy from start to finish, which greatly reduced stress. We received countless compliments on the food throughout the day. We opted for a three-course meal for our wedding breakfast and chose pizza for the evening. This went down well between dances and games in the grounds!

On our first visit to see Hayley and the team at Tredudwell, we came across Dan’s display album. There was one photograph in particular that I remember stopping at and thinking, “We must have Dan.” From the moment the day began, he was absolutely brilliant, capturing so many beautiful moments without us even realising he was there. He whisked us away for stunning cliff-top photos and again during golden hour, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. The only problem we’ve had since is choosing which photos to put up in our house, there are just too many favourites!

Aside from the ceremony itself and officially becoming husband and wife, two moments really stood out. Straight after the ceremony, our guests lined up to throw confetti, and we slipped into the barn for a few quiet minutes together, just the two of us. It was such a special pause amid the excitement. Then, straight after the confetti, we were able to mingle with our closest friends and family and see people we hadn’t seen in a long time who had made the special trip to be with us. Being surrounded by so much love and happiness in that moment is something we’ll never forget.

This will be one of the most magical days of your life, so remember to relax and truly enjoy it. Someone shared that advice with me the day before our wedding, and it really stayed with us. On the morning itself, we were both so relaxed, no super early start, no rushing. Everything was ready, and everyone was simply there to spend the day with us. I remember walking around the grounds before getting ready, the sun shining and the birds chirping, feeling so excited to see everyone.
After months and months of planning, the day was finally here. So take a moment, sit down with a cup of tea before the chaos begins, soak it all in, and enjoy every second.
