Browning Bros. Wild Wedding Venues

After getting engaged, we always knew we wanted a wild forest wedding; we just didn’t know how wild we could go! From glamping to street foods, to pizza ovens, to BBQ food and games to play with and an ice cream van arriving in the evening, I feel like we had it all. We honestly had the most amazing weekend, with all our guests saying it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to. We went for such a relaxed vibe and followed no itinerary, which I think our guests enjoyed, too. It was the most perfect setting in the woods. It was just perfect from start to finish. The team were amazing, but I must say how amazing our Gill was, from late-night emails to dress changes to MUA cancelling and the bridesmaid not arriving. She went through every emotion with me, and she knew I needed calm words and hugs the evening before. She was with me all day and kept checking in on us and our guests I’m sad I don’t need to call or text her no more. Thank you just doesn’t seem enough. Gill, we love you like family.

Our summer wedding at Chalkney Water Meadows was absolutely magical. The ceremony in front of the lake was a beautiful setting, and the entrance through the tipi gave it that extra special edge. Our guests had a wonderful time and we were even able to create a children’s bunny hunt, through the pretty wild flowers! Helen, Nat & Archie were amazing help in the lead up and also on the day – we can’t thank them enough. Such perfect memories – we just want to do it all over again!

Myself and my fiancee were supposed to get married in July 2020 with a different venue and unfortunately that had to be cancelled due to the pandemic. We did not have a great experience with our old venue. Then we found Browning Bros… we drove down and had a look at the venue. Nat met us at the gate and showed us around and we instantly fell in love with the venue. He was so welcoming and relaxed and very empathetic in regards to our old venue!

Attached to Chalkney Water Meadows are 2 luxury lodges both with hot tubs, which is also a great addition. Nat has been so helpful throughout and really supportive. We even stayed at the other small camp for a couple of nights which is a great place to unwind and be one with nature.

Although our 1st experience with our old venue was not what we hoped for it did lead us to Nat and Chalkney Meadows, so for that we are grateful!

Despite the thought of potentially being forced to postpone again because of the pandemic we feel less stressed this time around. This is due to Nat keeping in touch with us, asking us what we want to do and working together in a fair way. Furthermore we are very impressed with the experience we have had so far with Nat and as a result we could not recommend them as a wedding venue enough.

We cannot wait to have our wedding at Chalkney Water Meadows we have no doubt that it will be our dream wedding we have all been waiting for.

We dont even know where to start with this incredible company! The tranquil, idyllic venue is only the start.

I can honestly say that every single person we met was so welcoming and helpful and all would go above and beyond to help with whatever we needed. It was so much more than we could’ve ever hoped for from our wedding day.

Our events manager, Holly, is just the most wonderful person through and through, and I’m so glad we got to experience this with her by our sides. She kept us so calm and cool and we honestly couldn’t have done it without her! She’s such a credit to Browning Bros, and we’re genuinely going to miss her!

We cannot recommend Browning Bros enough. We had so much amazing feedback from all of our friends and family, who were so impressed with Chalkney Water Meadows and again, the people who worked there. It really is a haven and yet it’s still so central. The cabins, too, are amazing and we have already booked to come back next year.

Browning Bros’ Chalkney Water Meadows was the wedding venue of our dreams. We really did have the time of our lives and the wonderful on-site lodge and hot tub made it even better.

It is just so beautiful and Helen was fantastic to coordinate with from start to finish and gave us lots of advice along the way. I think people think getting a ‘package deal’ wedding is the way to have a cheaper wedding, but this venue allowed us to get outside caterers and entertainment and we brought all our own alcohol so it was actually far more economical with 150 guests than it would have been if we had gone elsewhere.

I would highly recommend and wish we could do it all over again!

Absolutely perfect – The whole team at Browning Bros. were fantastic throughout the entire experience. From Holly, who was a brilliant planner and coordinator to our event, to the staff, who went to every length to ensure our day went super smoothly. The venue was immaculately prepared, the suppliers recommended by Browning Bros. were all super high quality and a joy to work with (Including Trott and Whinny, Fox and Braces, The Hungry Plaice and Spotlight Ceremonies). Browning Bros. were super adaptable to working with our own acoustic band (The Woodcutters) as well and helped make our day even more stress-free and enjoyable. Accommodation for ourselves and our guests was setup on time, the Orchard was a perfect venue for our friends with their own tents and vans too.

Six of us rented the ‘Water Lily Lodge’ for three nights. For most of us, this was our first bit of time-off / annual leave since lockdown so we were really hoping for a relaxed and peaceful setting. The Lodge EXCEEDED our expectations tenfold! The Lodge is beautifully situated on the lake, semi-submerged in the woods, yet a stone throw away from open fields. The Lodge, outdoor decking and hot-tub have been built with real craftsmanship, creating an extremely comfortable and zen atmosphere. Browning Bros were so attentive to our needs and answered all our questions. Thank you from all of us and expect a repeat booking soon(ish).

We had a most fantastic wedding at their Chalkney Water Meadows venue!

Many people have told us it was the best wedding they have ever been to! The browning brothers themselves (and Helen) were absolutely fantastic and fun and made sure everything went perfectly well! The glamping and camping was so well done, we had around 100 of the 250 guests stay over! We also rented the lodge for the weekend and it was gorgeous, clean, large, with hot tub! Made the whole weekend more perfect than we could have imagined!

The Dream!

Wow, what a weekend! We cannot recommend Teybrook Orchard enough for a woodland wedding. We had the most incredible bespoke wedding and Becky made sure we had everything we needed without loads of restrictions. This venue allows you to be as creative as you want and design the wedding of your dreams. The service from start to finish was first class, and nothing was too much trouble. The addition of Glamping extended the time we spent with loved ones celebrating. All of our guests commented on how amazing the venue was. It’s such a unique place and we have made some wonderful memories there.

Thank you so much Becky & Browning Bros team! We cannot wait to come back and make more memories.

We got married at Browning Bros – Teybrook Orchard in September, and wow! We found the venue online after visiting other local companies’ venues, which felt way too formal for us and really non-inclusive of same-sex couples. Meg showed us around, and we instantly fell in love with not just the venue but the entire Browning Bros team and ethos – a chilled and fun bunch who really only want you to have the best day celebrating, going against the grain of tradition and leaving room for you to run wild with creativity (also super dog-friendly which is a huge bonus!)

The booking process was easy, the payment periods were super reasonable, and the planning process was seamless.

The Browning Bros recommended suppliers were also incredible and saved us from having to search through the endless directory of Google.

The actual weekend was the best weekend of our lives. Having access to the venue and the use of the kitchen meant we could spend time with our nearest and dearest the night before the wedding. The day ran perfectly due to the flexibility of the venue. There was no strict timing or routine for the day, and the Browning Bros team made sure that whilst we were busy spending time with our guests, the vendors and general organisation of the day were all taken care of.

It’s taken a few weeks to write this review because we’ve only just processed how incredibly wonderful the whole experience was. Our guests are still telling us it was the best venue and wedding they have ever been to. We had so much fun.

Big shoutout to Meg and Holly for helping to organise the whole thing and the incredible bar staff who we partied and ate cheese with after our guests had gone home.

Six years ago, we hunted for our perfect wedding venue, and we found Chalkney Water meadows online, and straight away, we fell in love. When viewing the venue we just knew that this was the place for us! It was perfect. So beautiful and elegant. We knew no matter what that, Chalkney Water Meadows was perfect for us.

After finally booking our day 2 years ago and finally marrying my best friend. I couldn’t have imagined a more amazing day. Just everything was perfect.

The venue, yes, is incredible, but what really takes this venue to the next level is the staff! The bar staff were incredible and so kind! What can I say, Gill? You are amazing! You are an absolute credit to the Browning Bros team and really worked so hard to give Bethany and me the best day ever! Without you, it just wouldn’t have been the day it was! We can’t thank you enough! We will definitely be seeing you again for another stay in water lily lodge or king fisher.

From the moment we first visited Teybrook Orchard, we fell in love with it and instantly knew it would be perfect for our wedding. There is something so magical about the whole venue, from the beautiful tree-lined surroundings to the intimate and enchanting woodland ceremony area.

The team at Browning Bros were all so lovely and willing to do anything they could to help make all of our ideas come to life. Holly was amazing throughout the whole of the planning process and worked with military precision in getting every detail accounted for. And it was really great to have Nat there on the day to make sure everything ran smoothly, it was clear to see how much love, passion and enthusiasm you have for what you do!

We had the most perfect day, and all of our guests loved it, too. We couldn’t be happier with how it all went.

My husband Will and I got married in June 2023 at Chalkney Water Meadows, and what can we say? The venue and staff are incredible. We had the venue for plenty of time to set up and plenty of time to dismantle the day after! The log cabins on site are also beautiful, and getting ready in Water Lily Lodge surrounded by my favourite ladies in a gorgeous cabin was a real bonus, especially as it was so close to the wedding tipis and ceremony. We also rented Kingfishers Nest for myself and my husband, and sitting in that hot tub the day after getting married with a beautiful lake and surroundings is a memory I will cherish. Holly looked after us on our day and was so gracious and made us feel totally at ease; she understood the perfect set-up for making sure everything ran smoothly on the day. The Browning’s team in the build-up to the day, especially Becky, were also a delight to speak to and answered every possible question we could think of! I’m so glad we have lifelong memories of our wedding day at this gorgeous venue, and I cannot recommend the Browning Bros enough!

I got married here in 2024, and it was the best day of my life. The accommodation is amazing, the scenery is stunning, and I felt like I was in a fairy tale the whole day. All the staff were extraordinary and kept my nerves down, especially Gill. Even though this place is a fifteen-minute car ride from me, it feels like it’s a whole world away, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone getting married.

We found Teybrook Orchard after Googling ‘family-run wedding venues’, and as soon as we met Becky at the venue, we were sold! We always knew we wanted a venue that had personality and we could put our stamp on, and Teybrook was absolutely perfect. From the first moment, Becky helped us plan our dream wedding, and despite torrential rain pre-ceremony, Gill went above and beyond to ensure no downpour would ruin our day. We made a last-minute decision to get married under the stretch tent, and it was absolutely perfect! As the sun came out, our guests enjoyed exploring the venue and making the most of the beautiful outdoor space. Becky, Gill, Nat, and all of the staff working on the day were so wonderful, helpful and super friendly, and our day really wouldn’t have been the same without them! Gill, in particular, was a superstar in making sure everything went swimmingly, and it was a day to remember. We would highly recommend the space and reassure any couples that the venue works no matter the weather! If you’re thinking of booking Teybrook Orchard for your big day, do it! You won’t regret your decision.
