Young Hearts, Run Free

Time for a little Friday inspiration from the ladies at Belle & Bunty.

If you’ve not yet heard of this modern vintage London bridal label then you really should scroll down. We simply love these skilfully crafted bridal gowns and the ethos behind the brand which is absolutely down to the founders – Alice & Hannah.

This particular Belle & Bunty bridal collection draws inspiration from the New York disco divas of the late 1970s, Studio 54 dwellers and all night party goers. High octane glamour and Disco music reigned supreme creating a pool of polished beauties enjoying the party of their lives.

Studio 54 was the epicentre of late ’70s hedonism where girls dressed up to get down. A Saturday night fever and relaxed free spirited vibe created a room full of energy and bevy of girls oozing sex appeal. Jerry Hall, Bianca Jagger and Diana Ross all paved the way for big hair, big heels and big style. This mood of retro bohemian glamour inspired a range of ultra feminine dresses and separates all designed to flatter women with slinky silk satin’s, seventies crochets and retro styling with gold hard wear and mini disco ball bead details.

Key styles from the new collection include: The Delilah Dungaree, a show stopping wide leg silk satin all-in-one, the off-the shoulder satin frill Lily Dress and a structured tailored suit for a sexy, masculine feel worn with delicate lace top or unbuttoned silk shirt. The Clementine Dress epitomises a classic wrap dress style from that era with delicate crochet cold shoulder detailing, while the Rosie Dress’s bell shaped lace sleeves and delicate dotty tulle neckline fuses retro styling with a clean, modern feel.

Big and bold rose patterned lace works beautifully in the Honor Dress in slim, full length sleeves and Belle & Bunty’s signature godet insert skirt. Brand new separate pieces include the Petal Skirt, the shape taken from the best selling Petal Dress and a full range of lace and silk top and skirts for each bride to create her perfect big day look.

This season also sees the introduction of Rose, a new fresh pale peachy pink colour drawing inspiration from fashion’s love of the pink shade. Clean styles look modern in off-white Ivory, while Cream has a hint of gold in the light and sits alongside Blush, a soft nude tone.

Luxurious and sexy, the collection has been created with a modern, confident, fashion aware bride in mind. The hand feel and drape of pure silk is unrivalled and the movement of the fabric is perfect to dance the night away,  Jerry Hall style.

All Belle & Bunty Bridal styles are Made in London using 100% silk fabrics and the best quality laces & crochets. The collection ranges from £1,200 – £3,000 and is available now from the flagship Belle & Bunty boutique in London and select stockists across the UK and Internationally.
