Yes, these divine light-up-our-love letters – I wanted them bad.
I didn’t, however, dare trouble the boy-to-be with another wedding want from the ol’ wish list!
But I must admit, whenever I see these beautiful illuminated props I go a little bit green with envy…
But all is resolved today as I am lucky enough to be featuring the gorgeous Jodie Cherry from Glow Love Lights with a beautiful styled shoot at the epic Eynsham Hall.
Launched in November 2013, GLOW was founded by Jodie, a talented Wedding Photographer with a passion for all things that make any big day that extra bit special.
The business was born from the idea of offering events something different, something that adds a little bit of sparkle whilst setting the scene…
You know how much I love the sparkle!
Ready…?
We pride ourselves on the fact that GLOW is a family run business.
We live on a beautiful private estate in North Oxfordshire and my lovely husband, Luke, handcrafts the lights with his own fair hands in his garden based workshop. Luke is a very talented joiner /cabinet maker and runs his own successful business Cherrywood Joinery alongside helping me with GLOW.
As soon as my clever and very talented husband Luke had made the first set of L.O.V.E lights I had a real desire to photograph them in a way that would showcase them as a high end, quality decoration for weddings and events…
I had taken a few simple snaps at home but nothing that really showed the impact these lights can have in a venue – I really needed somewhere that was grand, elegant, vintage, modern and classic all in one go…
It had to be Eynsham Hall.
The grandeur of the rooms at Eynsham are to-die-for. The delicious old books in the tall ceilinged library, the huge imposing windows in the Green Room with views of the rolling countryside and the classic wooden bar with an ultra modern, stripy twist…
This venue is beautiful but I don’t mind saying that our Letter Lights really took to a whole new level!
As much as the shoot was intended for getting photographs of the Letter Lights I may have got slightly carried away, as any photographer would in such a stunning venue, and used what we had around us to our full advantage!
It was a delight to work with the talented Jules, a Bridal & Vintage make-up artist and Mel from Mae Bridal on the shoot – We wanted a ‘Gatsby-esque’ edge with a modern twist…
Letter lights are totally versatile and can fill any space to give that all-important wedding wow factor, but to help you out, here are just a few of our top tips for bringing your day bang on trend with over-sized letter lights for wedding wow factor!
