Finding Peace at GreenAcres Woodland Weddings

I don’t think many people would describe me as ‘outdoorsy’. Sure, I like a little alfresco lunch in the summertime, a long dog walk to my fave coffee shop and I did seek out a walled garden wedding venue just to have that outside element to my big day. But ‘outdoorsy’ – no.

So, it was quite the surprise when I found peace in a beautiful woodland just an hour or so down the M25.

GreenAcres Woodland Weddings is a wedding venue with a difference; these ancient woodlands are a place where you can truly celebrate life’s journey. I mean the full cycle people and all the emotions that are entangled in these momentous events that we all experience – new life, the joining of two loved ones and ultimately that time when we must bid farewell.

GreenAcres is the place where all of this and more can be celebrated.

With my Coco & Kat Consultancy hat on I was first introduced to GreenAcres Woodland Weddings in Buckinghamshire last Spring just as the bluebells were fading – yes there’s a bluebell wood folks! It was so wonderful to meet the team and hear all about how they wanted to help couples create their dream woodland wedding.

You see, the GreenAcres venues (currently Chiltern and Rainford) aren’t just woodlands, they have award-winning buildings onsite which are all different and all unique to their individual locations – and all are fully licensed for ceremonies.

Chatting to the team, it’s so clear that they are really passionate about showing you what they can do and how you can really curate the perfect wedding that’s just a little bit alternative and a whole lot of personal.

The venues are ideal for your bespoke ceremony and the team’s have taken great care to handpick local suppliers who tie in with their ethos, therefore they are full of local recommendations for venues, fields and tipi suppliers who can cater for your reception and party whilst maintaining that thoughtfulness throughout.

It was such a pleasure to head back to the woods at Chiltern with Hannah Duffy Photography to capture these images for the venue, I’m already counting down the days until my next visit into these peaceful and oh-so beautiful woods.
