Full of love, life and happiness it’s so much more than a venue, it’s a family. The team behind Millbridge Court are passionate, inclusive and have an overwhelming desire to create beautiful weddings, whilst (rather importantly) keeping the Bride & Groom at the heart of every decision.
So in keeping with this ethos, Millbridge Court held a Wedding Inspiration Day that was well and truly… ummm… Inspirational! There was nothing ordinary about this wedding open day and their carefully curated ‘Little Black Book’ of Millbridge Court partners was shared in full technicolour glory.
Laura, wedding coordinator and all-round-lovely-lady, tells us a little bit about the day and of course, the venue whilst VLA Photography provides plenty of pretty…
Laura: Our Wedding Inspiration Day was all about inviting our couples back to Millbridge Court to meet a handful of our Millbridge Court Partners. But as is the Millbridge Court/Kalm Kitchen way, there wasn’t a trestle table in sight and all displays were unique and wonderfully inspirational, and most importantly, presented as it would be on a Wedding Day. Partners were encouraged to mingle and not feel as if they were confined to their ‘station’ and this allowed for the day to have a wonderfully free flowing, relaxed atmosphere.
Round tables were set out in our Dining Hall, with each florist creating a centerpiece of their choice that would be attainable to our couples (the results of which were utterly gorgeous and amazingly diverse). Kalm Kitchen also displayed one of their famous Patisserie Boutiques but with a twist, as one half of the boutique was overflowing with delicious antipasti. And not only that, Jen Middlehurst & Hannah Paine (from Hannah Berry Flowers) teamed up to design the Boutique, and what they came up with was just incredible… Only creative geniuses such as themselves could think of hanging rhubarb and beetroot from a ladder, suspended from our beams! The finished result was astounding and it was no surprise that it became the hub of the activity on Sunday afternoon.
Interaction was highly encouraged at every opportunity, so we had impromptu one-on-one calligraphy workshops by the fabulous Judy Broad and our couples were able to book in to have their wine tastings throughout. For those Bride’s lucky enough, they were also able to have a hair and makeup consultation with Carolanne Armstrong and Sharon Roberts in our Bridal Preparation Room.
For Millbridge Court Bride’s, not only was it a fantastic way to meet some wonderful Partners and potentially book key suppliers for their Wedding day but a unique opportunity, particularly for our B.O.P (booked off plan – Millbridge Court launched November 2014!) couples who are getting married this Summer, to see Millbridge Court come to life and filled with people. Being able to try a selection of Kalm Kitchen’s divine canapés and the Patisserie Boutique was also always going to be a highlight, as well as really being able to visualize how their big day might look.
Here at Millbridge Court, we have had the unique opportunity of taking our years of experience in the Wedding Industry and using this to create a building from scratch, which enables a Wedding Day to flow seamlessly from start to finish. Unique rooms such as our Bridal Changing Suite which is situated above our Ceremony Hall, and our Boutique Hotel bedrooms and lounges which have a private house feel, are wonderful extra’s that allow for a stress free Wedding Journey for our couples.
But aside from the design of the building itself, I honestly believe that our individuality comes from the details and how important we find even the smallest one. Everything we have at Millbridge Court has been carefully considered, from the candles burning in our front lounges (True Grace – Fig), to the soap in our Bathrooms (cowshed), to the 50+ bottles we painstakingly fill with roses each week, nothing has been forgotten or appeared there by chance. It is this level of care that we find so important and one that ourselves and Kalm Kitchen feel very passionately about.
Here at Millbridge Court, ultimately we want to create the perfect Wedding Day for our couples from start to finish, and in order to do that you need talented, efficient, professional and passionate suppliers. Our Millbridge Court Partners embody all of those things and much much more, but above all else their passion for what they do really stands out. I have had comments from Partners who attended our Inspiration Day and also from our couples, noting the amazing camaraderie between suppliers, even those in the same profession. This above all else made me feel so overjoyed; Millbridge Court Partners, celebrating other Millbridge Court Partners. I could think of nothing better than striving towards creating the perfect Wedding day for a couple, alongside any of these Suppliers, and that is why they’re in our ‘Little Black Book’.
Pretty amazing right…?
I’m a big fan of Millbridge Court, obviously, but now you can totally see why.
Thank you so much to Laura and of course VLA Photography for these stunning images! Pin away lovelies, pin away.
Lots of love…
