Reason number one… Jade’s background is in retail, same as mine. A frustrated creative she chose to break free and start her own adventure. I like that. A lot.
Reason number two… Jade has photographed, and is indeed a recommended photographer of, one of my favourite Coco venues – the utterly divine Iscoyd Park.
Reason number three… Jade’s photos are just gobsmackingly beautiful and boy does this girl know how to capture a story!
So it is my absolute pleasure to be sharing the gorgeous Jade Osborne Photography today in Loved by Coco…
Oh and for all you lucky Coco readers there’s yet another Coco exclusive offer to be had!
Read on lovelies…
I’d studied photography in high school (in Canada where I grew up) and loved the time in the darkroom developing my own photographs and had a particular penchant for black and white photography. My bedroom walls were adorned with various black and white images, dominated by Robert Doisneau’s ‘The Kiss’ and I think this style of reportage photography has significantly influenced my work today along with Saul Leiter and fashion photographers such as Richard Avedon and Cecil Beaton – all photographers I admired as a teenager.
My career started in the fashion industry as a Manager for a UK High Street Retailer, when my dream of becoming a fashion illustrator didn’t quite work out! After some years I found myself in organisational roles as a PA for some major blue chip companies. This didn’t satisfy my need for creativity and so I rediscovered photography, this time digital, and it has taken me on such a journey to get where I am now and feel so fortunate that I finally get to do what I love!

My photography business started out capturing portraits of children and families, (which I still do today) and progressed to wedding photography when I realised that, despite the pressure on the big day, I just loved to capture not only all the pretty details, but the intimate moments and emotion of the day.
I also offer tasteful boudoir/portrait photography, creating elegant, editorial style images for women. These tend to be quite the popular gift for lucky Grooms-to-be! For others, it’s just important to capture a moment of who you are and I’m passionate about this genre of photography. I find it empowering for women and I love making them feel beautiful.
I feel it is an absolute privilege to be part of a couple’s wedding day and one that I don’t take lightly. Aware that this will be one of the most memorable days of their lives and their images will last longer than a lifetime, I put my all into my client’s wedding day. I’m told I have a relaxed, calming, yet organised and professional approach to the day and my aim is to get to know my couples and make them feel at ease so that they can be themselves and comfortable in front of the camera. I’m a lover of natural light where at all possible, especially for portraits, as this is the most flattering and beautiful light when properly considered.
My style is predominantly documentary (although I do love to capture some elegant portraits of the bride and groom before they go off to enjoy the rest of their day), meaning I won’t lead your day, in fact, you’ll hardly know I’m there most of the time!
Ultimately, I love to tell your story of love and romance through beautiful, elegant and timeless images.

When choosing your photographer it can be rather daunting and confusing. My advice would be to opt for a photographer whose style reflects your own. If you really want minimum fuss and little interference from your photographer, make sure you ask how they work, as some will be more intrusive than others – it depends what you want from your day.
If you prefer the look of naturally lit images rather than flash lit, or vice versa, make sure the images in the photographer’s portfolio are consistent.
Finally, one of the most important aspects in choosing your photographer is how you get on and how comfortable you feel around them so you can relax on your day, resulting in relaxed, natural images…
I prefer to tell your entire story, although there are a various packages available depending on what coverage of your day you’d prefer.
I’m thrilled to be a part of Coco Wedding Venues, with so many stunning and interesting wedding venues on offer I’d love to offer Coco Wedding Venues’ clients a 10% discount on my packages.
If my style and approach to your wedding day is something that suits yours, do get in touch and I can provide you with more information…
