We have a very last minute announcement for a pretty fabulous event coming up this Bank Holiday Monday!
To celebrate the official launch of Blackdown Events, proud owner Gemma is hosting an Open Day and Fete on Bank Holiday Monday – 5th May.
It will provide the perfect opportunity to explore what The Haymeadow, a gorgeous wedding venue in Somerset, has to offer you, whilst also meeting a number of local suppliers, all handpicked and totally amazing! There will be outdoor games and live music as well as lots of yummy food and drink to keep you fed and watered. There will also be a goody bag available to the first 50 Brides-to-be!
So why not pop along, see what The Haymeadow has to offer and enjoy a day out in the beautiful countryside…
Blackdown Events provides a unique wedding venue set deep in the Blackdown Hills in Somerset, but just a mile from the Devon border.
Weddings are held in their 6 acre traditional Haymeadow, which is full of wild flowers and has beautiful far reaching views over the neighbouring valleys.
This really is a blank canvas of a venue, you can have a blessing under a beautiful wicker arch and then play outdoor games to your hearts content, before moving into the traditional canvas marquee for your wedding breakfast, which will seat up to 200 people.
Into the evening they can set up bonfires to keep you warm and have hay bale seating to add a true rustic touch. The Haymeadow provides all the basics, including tables and chairs, toilets, lighting and a catering tent and then allow you to choose your suppliers. They also don’t charge any corkage so why not bring a barrel of the local cider and let your guests help themselves!
Run by Gemma Sparks, who has plenty of experience in the events industry and a particular soft spot for weddings, Gemma can point you in the right direction in terms of suppliers if you wish or she can co-ordinate the whole day, leaving you to enjoy your engagement, with out the stress!
Sounds like a fun day out doesnt it…? The perfect way to spend your May Bank Holiday!
But if you can’t make the Open Day don’t worry lovelies, just contact Gemma as she will be delighted to show you around…
Have a lovely weekend people!
Lots of love…
