September signals birthday treats, autumnal wardrobe purchases, bronzed leaves at my feet and the countdown to the wedding event of the year…
Now in its fourth season, Brides The Show, the UK’s leading luxury bridal show, returns to London in October with a stellar line up of content unrivalled by any other wedding event. At its core is a curated edit of more than 130 industry experts, including a line-up of leading bridal designers, florists, photographers, cake-makers, honeymoon experts and caterers.
Brides-to-be you simply have to attend and here’s why; not only is it a gorgeous day out for you and your girls, but you can expect to see the freshest ideas, the highest quality craftsmanship and the very latest trends all overseen by the journalists and stylists behind Brides…
BRIDES THE SHOW 2014 from BLADESMAN PRODUCTIONS.
Joining the line-up of British and international designers this year will be Amanda Wakeley, Halfpenny London, Catherine Deane, Ian Stuart, Stephanie Allin, Sassi Holford, Naomi Neoh, Charlie Brear and Suzanne Neville. Over the three days there will be five (yes five!) daily catwalk shows that will make you swoon.
Brides The Show is also delighted to announce an exclusive collaboration with A-list designer Jenny Packham. Attending the event on the Friday preview evening, Jenny will showcase her 2016 NY Bridal Week catwalk show, including a recreation of her gorgeous A Midsummer Night’s Dream set. This one-off catwalk show will also feature a selection of designs that have been created by Jenny exclusively for Brides The Show – dresses that have never been seen in public before.
This year the Brides The Show catwalk echoes the story of The Secret Garden, with beautiful references to climbing foliage and heavenly country garden florals. Brides-to-be will be shown romantic modern gowns in tumbling silk tulle, lighter-then-air chiffon and delicate organza. Colours will move from the softest ivory to washes of pastel pink, peach, blue and luxurious metallics. Details include intricate rose-buds, 3D florals, leafy embroidery and beaded embellishment.
Sounds heavenly right…?
Away from the catwalk, brides-to-be can enjoy a series of hands-on DIY workshops in the Imagination Room where award-winning florist Zita Elze will help create wearable flowers and stationers Eagle Eyed Bride, will show how to design a luxurious table plan. Also new this year is luxury patisserie Joakim Prat from Maître Choux who will show brides how to decorate their own éclairs, as well as an exclusive showcase of some of Brides most popular DIY projects.
The Show’s ‘On the Sofa’ area will give visitors direct access to the Brides team who will host a series of talks with the industry’s most creative names including Hugo Burnand, William & Kate’s official wedding photographer, designer Amanda Wakeley, GQ’s online fashion editor Nick Carvell and Hannah Martin, global pro make-up artist for Bobbi Brown.
The new Dream Destinations feature is a dedicated travel zone where brides can meet the best UK and international honeymoon experts, then stop for a manicure and shop for honeymoon fashion!
