You can’t deny that this Modern Vintage style has captured everyone’s imagination of late, from delectable twenties inspired fashion, to art deco stationery suites through to the fabulous glamour and glitz of opulent parties…
I may have been somewhat influenced by this book myself, my little pup is after all named after the leading man.
So you can imagine my excitement when the gorgeous Rhiannon from Grays Court York told me about a certain Summer Ball this August… I of course just had to share the details with you!
Fetch your feather boas and start practicing your Charleston my lovelies!
Dating back to 1080, Grays Court is the ultimate hidden gem.
Nestled in the heart of the exclusive Minster Quarter, it boasts a Jacobean oak-panelled Long Gallery with squishy sofas to sink into, the striking Sterne Room with walls of green silk, and beautiful gardens overlooked by the city walls.
There are seven luxuriously unique hotel rooms overlooking the ancient cobbled courtyard, the stunning garden or York Minster itself.
The building is such a fabulous place that it just calls out for decadent parties and flowing champagne!
The ultimate in decadence is of course the era known as the Roaring Twenties, so it seems fitting to honour Grays Court by holding our very own 1920’s style summer party – decadence, glitz and glamour is the name of the game so get your glad rags on and come and dance the night away with us!
Grays Court very proudly presents… Prohibition!
So that’s one Date for the Diary not to be missed!
