Viktor & Rebecca’s Chateau Plombis Wedding

Written by Caitlin Hoare
Got to love a destination wedding, now more than ever!

Viktor & Rebecca may have had to change their wedding venue but Chateau Plombis, near Toulouse, ended up being the perfect setting for their stunning destination wedding.

They, and their guests headed to France for a weekend long celebration of alfresco dining, poolside lazing, and exploring the Chateau’s 60 acres of meadows, woodlands, orchards and gardens. Keep scrolling for some brilliant boho wedding inspiration, in a truly unique location.

Notes from the Bride

Rebecca says…

With the very difficult situation with COVID we had to choose a new venue that had outdoor space for the ceremony, meal and dancing. Chateau Plombis ticked all the boxes with a beautiful woodland area overlooking the valley for the ceremony, extensive lawn area for dining in front of the Chateau, and the arcades for dancing the night away (which is an open sided barn).

The styling and theme of the day was boho-chic. The outdoor ceremony, the expansive and scenic landscape of the chateau proved to be the perfect backdrop to our boho wedding. The natural features of the ceremony site, the breathtaking view, verdant greenery, exquisite gardens and bare wooden textures blended in seamlessly with the chosen style.

Victoria Engelen from The Impeccable Pear Floral Design created an absolutely stunning setup for the wedding, using a mix of dried and fresh flowers. The final result was fabulous. From beautiful bouquets and buttonholes to stunning ceremony arrangements, all the flowers and styling completed the theme perfectly.

The woodland area with its spectacular view, was the perfect spot to create the most breathtaking outdoor ceremony. The floral design composed of lots of dried and fresh flowers and foliage, with stunning quicksand roses, blush pink and cream and white colours; pampas grass was a big part of the decor to accentuate the magical and exotic side of the decor. The goal was to recreate a glamorous and boho universe while remaining close to nature and its natural beauty.

Catering was by Le Chef Impeccable and our guests sampled delicious canapés of prawn and chorizo skewers, dates stuffed with Roquefort and pissaladiere with black olive. There was also a Bruschetta Bar and Oyster Bar!

Best part of the day

The whole weekend was amazing, the woodland ceremony with the spectacular view over the valley, it was hot and sunny so the shade was very welcome. We dined on the lawn underneath these enormous cedar trees, then danced the night away. There was no ‘best part’, everyone enjoyed themselves from the moment they arrived until they left, it was hard to get them to leave!

From one bride to another…

We were very anxious about moving our wedding venue, but Jo and her team at The Impeccable Pear moved everything over and we enjoyed every second.
