Toot toot!

It’s cocktail time…

Yep Ed & Joe (The Travelling Gin Co.) are back with their take on a seasonal tipple, think warm apples and spiced sugar!

Blinking gorgeous.

If you’ve not heard of this talented duo then come and meet the boys here in their Loved by Coco feature. If you’re looking for a unique spin on cocktail hour for your wedding reception then The Travelling Gin Co. is it.

For everyone else, race ahead for this yummy recipe!

Ingredients

  • 35ml Sloe Gin (we like to make a homemade batch, but our favourite from the shops is Sipsmith)
  • 20ml Apple Juice (clear not cloudy)
  • 15ml Winter Spiced Syrup*

Instructions

Add all ingredients to your glass on ice.

Stir once with a cocktail spoon and add a splash of sparkling water or Travelling Gin Co. x Ebeltoft Tonic Water (available in 2015 see the-tgc.com or @travellingginco for further details)

*Winter Spiced Syrup

Equal parts sugar and water in a pan on a low heat. Add a variety of nutmeg, clove, vanilla, cinnamon, all spice and orange peel… We like to add a plum too to the mix and infuse until all sugar has dissolved and cool.

A great alternative is to twist this into a winter warmer…

Get a pan on the go with equal parts clear apple juice and water. Adding your festive spices whilst you go on a low-medium heat (no need for any sugar, as the sweetness comes through nicely from the apple juice and, if using, the plum).

Once nice and warm, get your glass and add a good shot of your sloe gin and ladle in your mulled apple creation and toast in the Christmas period!

This may also get you through the final weekend of festive shopping, enjoy my loves…
