The Penn Estate’s clifftop location provides stunning views of Church Ope Cove and the UNESCO World Heritage Jurassic Coastline. The venue’s neo-gothic castle design combines intimacy, elegance, and grandeur, having been beautifully refurbished with a modern look throughout. Couples are encouraged to explore the grounds, which feature sweeping manicured lawns, a picturesque Italian Garden, and a romantic English Rose Garden-perfect settings for evening cocktails and garden games.
Several licensed ceremony spaces are available at The Penn Estate, offering both indoor and outdoor options with spectacular sea views.
The venue offers various dining spaces depending on guest numbers and the season. The Dining Room can seat up to 60 guests year-round, while The Orangery, available during the summer, can accommodate up to 100 guests. The Penn Estate has built strong relationships with a selection of recommended caterers who offer a wide range of food and drink options to suit any event.
The Penn Estate offers a bespoke service to ensure each wedding or event is tailored exactly to the couple’s vision. The in-house team, led by Tessa, specialises in floral arrangements and venue styling, from large-scale installations to intimate setups. The venue’s Events Team provides support from the initial viewing through the planning process and the event day itself, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
Pennsylvania Castle and Clifftops Lodges are available on a minimum two-night exclusive-use basis and can accommodate up to 40 guests. The Castle provides space for up to 20 guests in nine en-suite rooms, while Clifftops Lodges offer accommodation for an additional 20 guests across ten bedrooms in five luxury self-catering lodges. The Estate is also home to The Front Rows, a collection of cliffside caravans available for guests to book directly.
The Penn Estate works with a selection of recommended caterers who provide a fantastic range of food and drink options. Depending on guest numbers and the time of year, dining can take place in the Dining Room, seating up to 60 guests, or The Orangery, which accommodates up to 100 guests during the summer months.
The Penn Creative Collection, the in-house team responsible for floral elements and venue styling, emphasises sustainable practices where possible. Floral arrangements are made in-house using carefully selected blooms to align with the venue’s sustainability goals.
