We have opened our “doors” to socially distanced tours at Longton Wood, but for any couples who are concerned about meeting we do also have our virtual tour.
Longton Wood is located in the heart of Kentish countryside. They are in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the North Downs. The venue is set in approximately 300 acres of ancient bluebell woodland, part of a family run farm. They have excellent transport links and are just an hour from London, between the M20 and M2 motorways.
Longton Wood is a blank-canvas DIY wedding venue. Their aim is for you to have your wedding, your way so they offer you supplier flexibility.
Longton Wood has a standard hire period of three days for all couples. You would have exclusive use of the venue for the three days. This allows DIY couples to be able to complete their wedding styling and bring their dreams to life. They also have Glamping space so the celebrations don’t have to be cut short.
Their blessing area is for non-legal humanist ceremonies. At Longton Wood it is possible for you to have your entire wedding amongst trees, they truly are a woodland wedding venue. Their mixed woodland gives the variety of evergreen all pines or as they like to call them – twilight trees, as well as deciduous trees and bluebells in spring.
A beautiful venue and something quite unique in the heart of the North Kent Downs. I photographed a wedding at Longton Wood in August and was truly amazed by its magical feeling, its like something out of Narnia, the guests drinking Jaeger Bombs definitely saw fairies. Honestly can’t recommend enough if you are still looking for a wedding venue with a difference!
Beautiful venue, exactly what we wanted.
Such a beautiful Venue set in the woods! Absolutely loved everything about it!
I had my wedding at Longton Wood on Saturday 10th August (2019). The venue is absolutely beautiful and all our guests commented on how gorgeous the surroundings were. The venue owner, Jennifer, was fantastic! We had some problems with our marquee when we were setting up and Jennifer was so helpful; a lovely lady! If we hadn’t found Longton Wood, our wedding wouldn’t have been half as incredible as it was.
When we first visitied Longton Wood in September 2018 we knew it was the place for us to get married. It was always going to be a wood but after visiting others with a much more structured, formulaic approach we loved the option to do whatever we wanted and bring in all of our own suppliers. We got married at Longton Wood in July 2019 and it was the perfect place and we are extremely happy we chose it.
