Chapel House Estate unfolds across 35 acres of private Kent countryside, where meadows, flint barns and an apple orchard shape a setting that feels both rural and refined. The estate balances rustic character with a considered, modern finish, offering a flexible backdrop for gatherings of different sizes and styles. Its collection of restored buildings and open green spaces allows each part of the day to feel distinct while remaining connected.
The Wild Apple Orchard brings a softer, more natural feel to the landscape. Here, long grass and meadow planting create an open, natural setting that places couples among trees and wildlife, with space for up to 150 guests seated outdoors.
Indoor ceremonies take place in the Old Malt Granary, a restored barn defined by high ceilings, exposed beams and original brickwork. Large windows draw in natural light, giving the room an open, airy feel while accommodating up to 150 guests for civil ceremonies, blessings and vow renewals.
For smaller celebrations, Chapel House itself offers a more historic setting. Dating back to 1290 and carefully restored, it hosts elopements and micro-weddings for up to 15 people, bringing atmosphere and a strong sense of heritage to more intimate moments. Outdoors, the Wild Apple Orchard provides a nature-led option, where vows are exchanged beneath open skies.
Thorne Barn hosts larger celebrations, welcoming up to 150 guests during the day and 200 in the evening. Its layout supports dining, speeches and dancing in one flowing space, with a 1920s-inspired cocktail bar and outdoor terrace extending the celebration beyond the barn itself.
The Glass Courtyard and the adjoining Lounge Bar are suitable for smaller gatherings. By day, the light-filled space accommodates up to 60 guests; by evening, up to 100 can gather for a more relaxed party atmosphere. As the sun sets, the courtyard transforms into a twinkling, glass-covered space, where candlelight glows, music carries, and the party continues under the stars.
Guests can stay on site in exclusive-use accommodation for up to 38 people, extending the celebration beyond a single day. Lodgings overlook tended gardens, open skies and meadow areas, giving friends and family time to settle in and enjoy the estate at a gentler pace.
Led by the Head Chef, the kitchen focuses on produce from the estate alongside ingredients sourced from local suppliers across Kent. Menus reflect the region’s reputation as the Garden of England, with options that range from relaxed shared dining to more formal courses.
Couples can choose between grazing tables, feasts, late-night wood-fired dishes or a traditional three-course meal, supported by canapés and bespoke cocktails. The approach prioritises low-waste, locally minded dining as part of the estate’s B Corp commitments, with attentive service throughout.
Sustainability shapes the estate’s food philosophy through a focus on local sourcing, low-waste practices and seasonal produce. These choices sit within the wider commitments linked to its B Corp journey, reflecting an ongoing focus on responsible operations that consider people, place and resources.
Located in Minster, just on the edge of Thanet on Kent’s beautiful east coast, Chapel House Estate is perfectly placed to explore everything the area has to offer, from independent restaurants and coastal walks to museums, galleries and vibrant local culture.

We had the pleasure of getting married at Chapel House Estate recently. I cannot praise the staff enough. Keeley and Jade were amazing with the planning of our twilight wedding. Nothing was ever too much trouble and everything was perfect. The venue is absolutely stunning. I came across it by chance and am so pleased I did. As soon as we looked around we knew this is where we wanted to get married. The whole day ran so smoothly from start to finish. The food was amazing, we had canapés after our ceremony in the gorgeous courtyard area then a buffet meal as we had a twilight wedding and the stone baked pizzas in the evening. There was so much food bursting with flavour so much variety to choose from and they catered well for our friends and family with intolerances. Our friends and family were overwhelmed with the venue and staff and all had the most amazing day. I cannot praise or recommend Chapel House Estate enough. Thank you for everything.

From the moment we first visited Chapel House Estate, we knew it was something truly special – but our wedding day there exceeded even our highest expectations. The venue itself is absolutely breathtaking, perfectly blending elegance, charm, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Every corner felt like it was made for unforgettable memories and beautiful photos.
Married September 2025
From the moment we first visited Chapel House Estate in the summer to our New Year’s Eve wedding, we fell completely in love with this stunning venue, topped off by kindness and care shown by everyone. Every member of the team was incredible, with a special mention to Loz, who we couldn’t have asked for more from to be the person in charge of our wedding day, she was fantastic in every possible way and made us feel so calm, supported, special, and fun (!) throughout. The venue is gorgeous, even in the heart of winter it felt warm, intimate and truly magical. The food was brilliant and is still being talked about by our guests. Thank you to everyone at Chapel House Estate for creating the most perfect day of our lives. We will treasure it forever and recommend CHE wholeheartedly to anyone dreaming of an extraordinary wedding in a beautiful setting with top tier experts.

We could not have chosen a better place for our wedding. We fell for the venue on our first visit (despite torrential rain) and reserved our date on the same day. The staff are amazing and all of the support you get in advance, and of course on the day, means you essentially get an in-house wedding planner to shape your day. Our day was a little unusual in that we had two ceremonies, which Chapel House were able and very happy to accommodate. Many other venues said they couldn’t do it.
Married October 2025
We had the pleasure of having our wedding at Chapel House Estate this December, and it’s easy to see why they are an award-winning venue. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, with so many beautiful spaces to enjoy. We were able to make full use of everything it had to offer — our drinks reception and canapés were held in the Glass Courtyard, the ceremony took place in the Granary, and the wedding breakfast and evening party were hosted in Thorne Barn. Our guests were truly impressed by the variety of spaces and couldn’t stop talking about how beautiful the venue was, not to mention the breathtaking photos it allowed us to capture. Guests were also able to choose their meals in advance, which went down a treat and made the dining experience feel really personal and thoughtful. However, it’s the staff who truly make Chapel House so special. They go above and beyond, both in the lead-up to the wedding and on the day itself, to ensure everything runs perfectly. We had Jade as our wedding coordinator, and she was nothing short of exceptional. She made sure the entire day ran smoothly, put us completely at ease, and even came to the rescue with wardrobe malfunctions and childcare. Jade made us feel genuinely cared for — she even remembered my wife’s birthday (the day after our wedding) and brought her a card. It’s just one example of her incredible attention to detail. We honestly can’t thank Jade and the entire team enough — you are amazing. We would highly recommend Chapel House Estate as a wedding venue. You and your guests will absolutely love it.
Married December 2025
Where do we even begin? Our wedding at Chapel House Estate in October was everything we had dreamed of and more.
What truly sets Chapel House Estate apart, though, is the team. Every single person we interacted with was professional, warm and incredibly accommodating. They made us feel so cared for, and nothing ever felt too much trouble.
To the entire team: thank you for giving us the most beautiful start to our marriage. We will be forever grateful.
Married November 2025
From the very first time we visited Chapel House Estate, we knew it was the one. Every corner of the venue felt like it had been designed with love and intention, and we instantly felt at home. The blend of the beautifully restored Old Malt Granary with the modern elegance of The Thorne Barn was everything we had dreamed of and more. The addition of the Glass Courtyard was the cherry on top, adding even more wow-factor to an already perfect setting. From the moment we booked, the entire planning process was seamless. While many talk about how stressful wedding planning can be, our experience was the complete opposite and that’s entirely down to your incredible team. Every step, from our initial tour to our final meeting, was handled with such care, calm, and professionalism. You made it feel effortless. Every staff member we met, whether during tours, open days, or planning meetings was warm, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what they do. It was so reassuring to see how much your team loves the venue, and it only added to our excitement each time we visited. As for the big day itself, it was flawless. Everything ran like clockwork, and we know that’s thanks to the hard work happening behind the scenes. Keeley, you were with us from the moment we arrived at 8am until the sun had set and the party was in full swing. You are truly an angel – calm, kind, and completely in control. We feel so lucky to have had you by our side. For anyone who is fortunate enough to have you as their coordinator, they’re in the very best hands. Chapel House Estate didn’t just give us a wedding, it gave us memories we will treasure for the rest of our lives. We are endlessly grateful for the love, care, and attention you poured into every detail. You gave us the day we had always dreamed of, and we will never forget it. To anyone considering this venue: stop searching. This is the one. You will not find a more beautiful place or a more incredible team. With all our love and heartfelt thanks, Mr & Mrs Hay 20th September 2025 ✨

Absolutely blown away by this venue. We were guests at our friend’s wedding and can honestly say it’s the best we’ve ever been to. The grounds were stunning, the food was incredible, but what stood out most to us was the attentiveness and professionalism of the staff; nothing was too much trouble, everything was perfect. We would love to come back and stay in the near future. Chapel House Estate is something special.
Married October 2025
We got married in October. It was an amazing day, despite the changeable weather featuring sunshine, very heavy rain and some strong winds at times too. We had around 90 guests in the day and 135 in the evening.
Did we pay a little more than other venues? Yes, but not by much. The value Chapel House provides over the other six venues we visited makes it a complete no-brainer. Having the accommodation on site saves a huge amount of money, and I would say makes it far cheaper overall.
