Well, my wanderlust is being well and truly satisfied at the moment – My trip to Iscoyd Park was followed last week by a jaunt to London to visit The Brewery and their Proposal Showcase.
And my goodness, did I have my little socks knocked off by this City wedding venue.
The Proposal Showcase was held in The Brewery’s fabulous clear marquee that sits in their courtyard and it had been transformed into a flower filled haven. Think English summer country garden that’s worthy of first prize in any flower show and you’ll still only be part way there. It was brilliant.
However, the afternoon tea display that sat in the centre was possibly one of the most amazing things I’ve seen. Nestling in a flowerbed of greenery were tiered cake stands full of the most delicious treats, all created by The Brewery’s Executive Chef, Tom Gore.

Heavenly cakes rose up from the macaron-strewn grass and pockets of flowers and tea lights added splashes of colour and light. In one corner was a vegetable patch where candied baby vegetables waited to be pulled from chocolate soil. Oh my…
The Brewery had also brought plenty of pretty to the City and alongside handpicked photographers and purveyors of personalised champagne and vintage china, there were also Sassi Holford gowns and the latest collection from Emmy to swoon over. And swoon I did. Shoes embellished with pops of neon or suede pompoms are essential right?
So, the Proposal Showcase at The Brewery was a great place to be. But actually, The Brewery is a super special wedding venue all year round.
Firstly, the choice of spaces for weddings is almost unbeatable. From large to small in rooms of all styles, you’ll find somewhere to suit the look and size of your event. Everywhere is a blank canvas and you can turn this wonderful venue into whatever you want it to be.

But you don’t just get space at The Brewery; you get absolutely personal support from Amélie Avian, the wedding & private events planner on site. Amélie is more than a little bit special – she wants to say yes, she wants to find ways to give you exactly what you want and she’s so enthusiastic, passionate and in love with her job that you just know your wedding will be stress-free and full of fun. Whether you’re aiming for classic or kitsch, homemade or heavy metal, your look will be at home here. I loved it.
Thank you so much to The Brewery for inviting me along. As proposals go, this was pretty special.

Lots of love…
