Sandon Manor: A New Country House Wedding Venue in Hertfordshire

Recently the team have been working on opening Sandon Manor, the properties and grounds for exclusive-use boutique guest accommodation. Sandon Manor and The Dovecote have been stylishly renovated to a high spec to sleep 18 guests, and their historic barns (c1250) are being restored into a luxury, bespoke venue providing space for up to 150 guests with a ceremony hall, a courtyard for outdoor ceremonies and a Medieval Hall for banqueting, and dancing.

Our Venue + Ethos

Sandon Manor is a place where couples can come together to truly enjoy their wedding day with their loved ones; relaxing into an extended stay to celebrate in style and soak up every moment of their marriage. We create a bespoke wedding for every couple; be that an intimate gathering with nearest and dearest or to feast, dance and celebrate with up to 150 special friends. There are multiple wedding ceremony options available here, choose from the East Wing for 150 guests, the courtyard summer house, an intimate union in Sandon Manor house or a unique, wild setting in the Estate’s woodlands.

Sandon Manor House and the stunning Dovecote bridal suite opened their doors in 2021. Guests are encouraged to spend quality time together during their stay, relaxing into comfort and immersing themselves in nature through our wild and decadent activities on the surrounding rewilded land (one of the largest nature reserves in Hertfordshire).

About Us

The team are working hard to lovingly restore our historic buildings to create a uniquely stylish, luxurious wedding venue at Sandon Manor. The venue’s buildings, refined with original features, consist of the Medieval Barn for banqueting and cocktail bar; Haybarn bar; a Dance Pod with bespoke light and sound systems and the East Wing ceremony building. All focused around the romantic courtyard, complete with summerhouse. The venue will be ready for guests to create their own magical, stylish and bespoke weddings at the beginning of 2023.

Sandon Manor is a family run business. We work together with a small, dedicated and fun team who welcome others to this special place with open arms. Our passion for design, style, beauty, history, nature, hosting and entertaining have come together to create a stylishly unique and breathtaking experience for all of our guests.

We pride ourselves on making sure guests have everything they need, working with wonderful local, artisan suppliers, who are excellent at their craft.
