I first became aware of today’s Loved by Coco guest back in February when I discovered a rather pretty rustic inspired shoot at Elmore Court, one of our epic wedding venues. I knew instantly that Kate, face of Lavender & Linen, would be one to watch this year.
Kate’s passion for weddings and styling is honest and electric. Her eye for the pretty has seen her Pinterest followers grow to 30,000! A well respected lovely within the wedding industry, her Bride’s & Grooms also love working with her. So much so that Kate has just won the rather prestigious title of Best Wedding Venue Stylist in the South West Regionals for The Wedding Industry Awards.
So not only do I feel rather privileged to have the lovely Kate back on Loved by Coco, but I’m also very happy to be supporting Kate’s exciting news this week! The rebrand and relaunch of her styling business, everyone come and meet Kate Cullen Creative Styling & Design.

Kate: I am very excited to be announcing the rebrand and relaunch of my former business Lavender & Linen under my own name. Lavender & Linen has gone from strength to strength over the last few years, culminating in my regional win last week for best venue stylist at The Wedding Industry Awards.
I’m over the moon to have been recognised for my work with couples and venues this year – and it makes me even more determined to create some incredible weddings in 2015 under my own name.
There’s nothing more rewarding than delivering a design brief to a couple and watching their eyes light up with excitement, except of course the big reveal on their wedding day itself!
My Brand
So what’s different..?
On the face of it very little will change – I will still be offering all the same wedding styling services. There will still be my large, high quality, vintage glassware range for hire. There will also still be my props available – with more of an emphasis on bespoke design work – from backdrops to favours I will be working with my couples to create personal and unique elements that bring the whole look together. It’s all about the detail.

I will be focusing a lot more on my artistic leanings – creating and developing a hand-painted bespoke silk linen range, as well as ribbons and other unique items for my couples wherever possible.
I don’t have a set price list as every couple comes to me with very unique ideas and requirements for the kind of styling help they need – after an initial consultation I create a design brief that allows us to work out the details. I will work with you as much or as little as you need to deliver this vision. I work completely flexibly on your wedding, event or business needs to develop a high quality, visually stunning and unique design.
I will also be offering business styling and photography packages in conjunction with Paul from The Lemon House Photography. Paul has a wonderful studio in the Cotswolds in which we can work with our clients to produce beautiful, eye-catching and unique images that will help your business grow and get noticed.

My Advice
Don’t worry if you don’t have a clear idea of how you want your wedding to look right from the start – it’s a stylist’s job to really tease out the elements of your style and personalities that will be reflected in the final designs. You can change your mind!
Most importantly, enjoy the process – get lost in Pinterest once in a while and embrace all that wedding pretty! Then handover to me on the day and focus on the really important bit – getting married in front of your loved ones.
Also, a little cryptic for now, but keep an eye out on my new blog – there will be some fantastic competition opportunities and new products coming soon!
If you’re in need of some styling help and tips then why not hop across to visit Kate on her brand new website, or drop her an email here. Kate regularly works with the delightful venues Elmore Court and Kingscote Barn, but a full list can be found here.
A final congratulations to the wonderful Kate on her new adventure!
Lots of love…
