I love this start-up success story… From a lightbulb moment, taking a leap of faith, right through to the glorious moment Siu, Liberty in Love founder & owner, won Best Online Retailer at this year’s Wedding Industry Awards.
I’ve had first hand experience of styling Siu’s wares on our Modern Vintage shoot at Iscoyd Park and ladies, Liberty in Love oozes bridal glamour. Statement necklaces, birdcage veils and to-die-for shoes; I only wish a feather shrug was acceptable attire for the weekly trip to the supermarket!

Siu: The Liberty in Love story started from my own wedding planning. It was an incredibly busy time (I’m sure most brides-to-be can empathise with that!) and I did a lot of research and shopping online. This was before wedding blogs had come to the fore and pre-Pinterest, and also before la crème de la crème designers could be easily found on Google. So, for brides who wanted to source beautifully made pieces with unique style, it was quite the tricky task.
My quest to find my perfect accessories online was quite fruitless, and so the seed was planted.
We had the most amazing wedding day, a day never to forget. Afterwards, still in the post-honeymoon glow, I just had this epiphany moment one day on my commute to work. In a bit of a daydream, I connected these random thoughts in my mind, which ultimately led to my idea about setting up an online bridal accessories business that sold everything but the dress. I knew, instantly, I would do it.
Sometime after (after doing that sensible thing of developing a business plan), I walked out of my marketing job at a creative agency to launch Liberty in Love.
Five years, we’ve helped thousands of Brides to find their perfect accessories, gone on to win a clutch of awards, and have worked on some inspiring collaborations and shoots with the industry’s finest talent. It’s my dream job, quite literally!

Today, we sell over 1000 beautiful accessories, all handpicked by me for their beautiful quality, luxury and unique style. We’re stockists for both UK and international designers, including Stephanie Browne, Untamed Petals, St Erasmus, Ivory & Co, Harriet Wilde, Chez Bec, Joyce Jackson and Ell & Cee.
Tips & Advice
We love everything about weddings and the transformative power of a great accessory. And… well, quite frankly, there are not enough words in the world for what we can say about accessories.
