From the elegant fashion choices (love a puff sleeve) to the thoughtfully styled décor by Etiquette Events, every detail reflected their timeless vision. With all the authentic moments captured by Amy Woodham Photography, here’s a glimpse into N&P’s beautiful love story.
One of the main reasons we chose Birtsmorton Court was that it had accommodation, allowing us to have everyone stay the night before and the night of. It was really important to us to have everyone in the same place, especially since we live overseas. We didn’t want to just see everyone on the day—we wanted to ensure we spent as much time as possible with everyone during our special few days! It was so much fun seeing everyone arrive, beyond excited for the big day, and then getting to fully debrief together the day after! The place was stunning, too! It holds so much history, and you feel like you’re a part of it—just thinking about how many weddings have been hosted there over the years!
I was fortunate to find my dress so quickly! It was satin, elegant, and had puffy sleeves—sleeves were a must for the big day! I’d always dreamed of having Jimmy Choos for my wedding, but when it came down to it, I just couldn’t justify the price! So, I ended up buying a pair of shoes from Amazon. They had a super cute bow and were a block heel, making them super comfy for the entire day. All my jewellery was minimal since I don’t wear a lot normally—I wanted the dress to be the main focus! My veil was covered in beautiful pearls, and I wore freshwater pearl drop earrings from Chisholm Hunter. When I was about 13, my Nan and Grandad bought me a bottle of Yves Saint Laurent Cinema perfume, so I made sure to wear it on my wedding day to feel like they were still with me.
My bridesmaids wore champagne gold—it was all about everyone feeling elegant and classy! All of my friends have quite a minimal style. I gave my bridesmaids a color palette and let them choose any dress they liked, and funnily enough, they all picked the same one!
For Pete and his groomsmen, it was always going to be black tie—it’s timeless.
I knew I wanted a minimal theme, and since my favorite colour is white, it was perfect. All the tables were decorated with candles and single white roses—it was beautiful. Etiquette Events styled everything for us! I had a bouquet of gorgeous white roses, and so did the bridesmaids. The cake was simple and elegant—just white with pearls on it.

Having everyone you love in the same space is such a special feeling. We had just under 60 guests, and the majority were friends. Pete and I have been together since high school and have kept those special friends who have been such a big part of our relationship. It was perfect.
Just have the best time! You’ve spent so long preparing, talking about it for months, and being so excited for it to come, so just enjoy it. It’s about the two of you, and that’s all that matters, so do what makes you happy!
Make sure you take some time alone as a couple. The day flew by fast, and one of my favourite moments was stepping back for a minute with Pete and saying, “We did it.”
