Set at Hedsor House—an exclusive-use icon with a glittering guestlist history—this spring editorial flips tradition on its head. Velvet tuxes, rich colour, soft lilac tones and layered, luxe styling come together within its grand walls to deliver something truly special. Bold, considered, and brimming with character, it brings fresh energy to one of the UK’s most iconic celebration spaces.
Trust me, this one deserves your full attention.
The magnificent Hedsor House was chosen as the backdrop for this editorial because it effortlessly embodies timeless elegance with architectural grandeur. Its sweeping staircase, opulent interiors, and beautifully manicured gardens provided a dreamy setting that allowed our styling vision to flourish. The venue’s history and beauty added depth to the shoot’s romantic and fashion-led elements. Whether set indoors beneath golden chandeliers or outside against the grand stone façade, every scene radiated a classic luxury unique to Hedsor.
The vision was to combine modern romance with high-end European styling, infusing the shoot with an editorial edge and timeless wedding charm. The team aimed to create a narrative of celebration that honoured diversity and style, elevating the traditional wedding editorial with inclusive representation, luxe details, and a soft but curated aesthetic.
The editorial followed a joyful, fashion-forward couple with dapper styling and contemporary tones. The team was inspired by spring’s freshness, using a palette of sage green, soft lilac, ivory, and muted blush paired with romantic pops of deeper lavender and warm neutrals. The tones were gentle yet refined, reflecting the season and the editorial’s elevated style. The textures were soft and layered, giving everything a naturally luxurious finish.
The grooms’ looks by Fallen Hero broke away from tradition, incorporating velvet jackets, open collars, and rich colour tones like blush and black.
The styling, led by My Pretties UK, was intentionally layered and elevated—balancing refined minimalism with warm springtime charm. Statement floral urns filled the spaces with blooms in tonal pastels and lavender hues, while the tablescape inside featured sage green linens, soft pink florals, and modern crockery and cutlery from Options Great Hire.
The team included a “Buon Appetito” draped seating plan backdrop to give a chic Italian touch and create visual impact by the staircase. The floral arrangements were romantic and abundant without overwhelming the space, and the cake by Louise Hayes Cake Design stood as a work of art, delicately textured and accented with edible florals to mirror the palette.
All florals were designed and styled by My Pretties UK, who perfectly captured the essence of spring meets stately elegance. Their designs balanced softness with structure, combining texture, tone, and scale for a beautifully cohesive result.
This editorial perfectly shows how couples can create an elevated and editorial wedding without losing intimacy or personal touches. Whether it’s choosing a bold staircase backdrop, embracing a seasonal palette with textured florals, or dressing in a way that feels authentically “you”, there’s inspiration here for every modern couple.
Couples can also look to this shoot for ideas on mixing traditions with trend-led design, such as velvet menswear, fashion-forward accessories, and soft, romantic draping to soften grand architecture.
