Abbey Farm Weddings, located in rural Lincolnshire, is characterised by white-washed walls, an immaculate stone floor and beautiful countryside surroundings – it’s giving rustic, Mediterranean vibes and I’m so here for it!

Dive in for elegant fashion, elevated wedding decor and the dreamiest ceremony set-up, captured beautifully by Sophie Ruck Photography.

Sophie says…

Abbey Farm Weddings was chosen for this shoot because of its versatility for couples to choose which space they would like to use for different parts of their day. We also wanted to showcase how beautifully it had been restored offering history with a stylish modern finish. The fireplace offers an impressive backdrop for ceremonies and we wanted to complement the grand structure with soft floral arrangements.

The theme was elegant wedding style using floral installations to enhance the beauty of the space using natural light. We want to encourage couples to make their wedding day unique to their needs, the central ceremony is an example of this as the couple are surrounded by guests. We focused on a white and green colour palette with spring and summer florals in mind.

We wanted an elegant and stylish bridal look so chose to work with Ivory White Bridal. Their Milla Nova gown Beata is ivory satin with an off the shoulder draped bodice and full skirt, pockets complete this stunning dress. It was paired with Charlotte Mills shoes. Handmade freshwater pearl jewellery from Jewels by Jess were chosen to complement the elegant styling of the dress and makeup. Richard Designs veils provided two looks with the on-trend short bow veil as well as a more traditional veil with pearl detail.

The groom wore a House of Cavani black velvet tuxedo to give a modern twist on the elegant black tie look, he matched this with black Russell and Bromley suede loafers.

For hair and makeup Claire Alexandra chose on trend, modern and flawless makeup. Focusing on glowing skin, a perfectly balanced colour palette with a focus on enhancing those beautiful eyes. For hair a textured updo with perfectly placed face framing and volume.

Ruby & Co styled the ceremony space with both dark and light green chair drapes, adding contrast to the white. She focused on understated candles and signage to keep the focus on the couple and the florals whilst White Orchid Print and Design crafted vow books with gold embossed lettering and a contrasting emerald green ribbon.

Sarah from Serenity Blooms was the florist responsible for creating the beautiful floral arrangements; a mixture of medium and large urns filled with white and green flowers were used to create an impactful central ceremony set up. These included roses, lisianthus, viburnum, astrantia, delphiniums, astilbe, patience and a variety of foliage. This maximises the natural light ensuring the couple are surrounded by both flowers and light. Sarah demonstrated how moving the urns after the ceremony can create another beautiful look for couples’ portraits. Our aim was to encapsulate a feeling of spring and summer.

Couples can truly make their day their own with elegant and stylish fashion choices combined with show-stopping floral arrangements but finding a venue that is versatile as well as having that wow-factor is a must.
