The Setting
Abbey Farm Weddings is a hidden gem of a wedding venue located in rural Lincolnshire. This family-run venue comprises their rustic but luxurious Oak Barn, Stone Barn and Old Granary, all exclusively yours for your special day.
The gardens and meadows at Abbey Farm overlook the magnificent Kirkstead Abbey Ruin, adding historical glamour and romance to the setting. At the same time, the Church of St Leonard’s is just a stroll (or tractor and trailer ride!) away – choose to walk to your ceremony across the Abbey field or along a romantic woodland path. Alternatively, couples can marry in one of their barns or outdoors with a civil ceremony on site. However you wish to celebrate, the team will ensure the day is tailored to you and your guests.
Abbey Farm Weddings offers couples the exclusive peace of the open countryside but is only a stone’s throw (1 mile) from Woodhall Spa, home to a wide variety of incredible accommodation options, independent shops, and the home of English Golf.

The Vibe
Complete with twinkling fairy lights, the Oak Barn is at the heart of every wedding at Abbey Farm Weddings. The original 300-year-old craftsmanship has been brought into the modern day with white-washed walls, an immaculate stone floor and a cosy wood burner. The warmth and rustic nature of the exposed timber add a genuinely romantic and heartwarming atmosphere to any wedding day.
The Old Granary Barn, a large exposed-brick events space, has been recently renovated, offering licensed ceremonies on site. St Leonard’s Church is also situated on the farm and within walking distance, with some fantastic photo opportunities on the way! All this is exclusively yours, but if you need a little guidance, the Abbey Farm team are happy to discuss your wedding preferences and can create a bespoke itinerary to suit your celebration size and style.
On arrival, guests can be welcomed at the outdoor courtyard reception area. Complete with a beautiful oak framed porch, this is the perfect spot to be served fizz and canapés before moving on to the rest of the day. You and your guests can mingle in the sunshine with drinks in the gardens or warm up next to the log burner in the winter months – all of which benefit from magnificent views of Kirkstead Abbey Ruin, which will be floodlit in honour of your wedding day.
Character and charm sum up the interior of the Oak Barn, Granary Barn and Stone Barn (the bar), all individually beautiful buildings. A mix of candles on the tables, twinkling fairy lights adorning the beams and your wedding décor creates a magical, personalised atmosphere and space for 250+ evening guests – you will have a great party, too!
