Experience a wedding at Carlowrie Castle, where breathtaking beauty and enchanting surroundings create an unforgettable celebration.

This heartwarming tale follows a Carlowrie team member’s journey as a bride, highlighting the impeccable service that made this day truly special. With an exquisite lace dress and boys in kilts, Carlowrie was quite simply a magical haven for Lynn & Martin’s love-filled celebration.

Notes from the Bride

Lynn says…

Carlowrie Castle, with its breathtaking beauty and picturesque surroundings, was the obvious choice for our dream wedding. Being part of the Carlowrie team, I felt incredibly fortunate to experience the other side of things as the bride. The team’s impeccable service deserves endless gratitude for making our day unforgettable. It truly was the best day of our lives.

I walked down the aisle in a stunning lace dress, adorned with delicate sleeves. A sparkling crystal hairpiece added a touch of elegance to my look, while the gentlemen exuded charm in their traditional kilts. The bridesmaids wore navy dresses, while my flower girl looked adorable in an ivory lace top paired with a navy skirt.

When it came to styling our wedding, I had a clear vision in mind. I desired an aesthetic of clean, white flowers complemented by lush greenery and foliage. The atmosphere was enhanced by the warm glow of candlelight. Our linen was crisp white, accentuated by navy napkins that perfectly matched my bridesmaids’ attire.

Lyn from Poppy Floral Design, my amazing florist, brought my Pinterest-inspired mood board to life. She effortlessly translated my vision into reality. My bouquet was a hand-tied posy, featuring cream blooms and an array of greenery and eucalyptus. The bridesmaids and flower girl held enchanting posies bursting with gypsophila.

Our cake, expertly crafted by the talented Creative Cakes by Amanda, was a simple two-tier buttercream delight. A wooden “Mr and Mrs Salmond” sign adorned the top, accented with delicate blooms from the florist.

We were fortunate to have Paul Govers as our photographer, and we wholeheartedly recommend his services to anyone seeking exceptional wedding photography. Despite our initial shyness in front of the camera, Paul made us feel at ease and guided us throughout the day. As the clock struck midnight, marking my 40th birthday, Paul remained by our side, capturing precious memories with our loved ones.

Best part of the day

The highlight of our day, undoubtedly, was the ceremony itself, where we became husband and wife in the presence of our cherished guests. Sharing such an extraordinary day and night with everyone we hold dear was truly magical. Thanks to our DJ, Paddy, we had an unforgettable evening, and the cherry on top was the soulful melodies of the saxophonist.

From one couple to another…

To all the couples embarking on this wonderful journey, we offer this heartfelt advice: savor every moment, as the day passes in the blink of an eye.
