Carlowrie Castle

No, Carlowrie Castle is not a self-catering venue. We are fully licensed, and as such cannot allow guests to consume alcohol on the premises that is not purchased and regulated by our licensed premises manager. The castle is an exclusive use serviced venue. We will go through all your requirements with you in detail from arriving to departing.

Your access times to the facilities are detailed in your Event Details. However if you require early access please discuss it with your contact at Carlowrie Castle when going through the final details.

Accommodation is available from 14.00 hrs on your arrival day and rooms must be vacated by 10.30 hrs on departure day. On certain occasions function space access times and check in/out times can be relaxed. Your contact at Carlowrie Castle will be able to advise subject to availability.

Our 2 bedroom suite with lounge, diner and kitchen, is made available for the bride, and immediate wedding party, from noon on the day of arrival.

If you need to deliver supplies or materials to Carlowrie Castle please let us know when it is due to arrive and ensure it is clearly labelled with the Castle contact name, your name and your function name. It should arrive no sooner than 24 hours prior to the function and be collected within 24 hours after you leave. We cannot accept responsibility for personal items left with us for safe keeping.

We will send you a full set of menus to choose from, and invite you to pick 2 starters, 2 mains and 2 desserts for your pre wedding tasting. After that you narrow it down to 1 starter, 1 main and 1 dessert for the wedding meal. If you really can't decide, we can provide more than one choice per course at a supplement. Please note that we always require a pre-order, even if you have a choice of dishes included, as we prepare only the food that you have told us your guests have chosen.

Drinks can be chosen from our extensive list, and also sampled on your tasting day.

All inclusive drinks package on the wedding day from 2pm until 12.30am. This includes beers, house wines, Champagne, house spirits and soft drinks.

Breakfast is included for residential guests.

The guest numbers you sign for on the contract are the numbers chargeable. 4 weeks prior to the function date we will ask you to finalise your numbers. If these numbers are greater than those originally confirmed calculate the extra charge and amend the final payment. If these numbers are less than originally contracted then we will adjust the final balance or refund accordingly for food and drinks down to the agreed minimum number on your contract.

If you have purchased a special inclusive Wedding Package which is for a set number of guests, these figures are the minimum numbers chargeable - please see the numbers shown at the bottom of your contract. Should you wish to have additional guests attend, your contact at Carlowrie Castle will confirm an additional price per person.

Although you are contracted to 40 just now there is no minimum numbers for an off peak midweek date.
