Their day was elegant and relaxed, with plenty of outdoor space, thoughtful entertainment, and expert childcare. From a personalised kids’ menu to heartwarming photography, every detail was designed to keep both adults and children engaged. Holly at Sandon Manor is here with all the details.
Getting married with young children can make your special day even more meaningful, as your little ones are part of your journey. With thoughtful planning, your wedding can be fun and memorable for everyone, including the kids!
Choosing a venue where you can stay on-site with exclusive use ensures your children feel safe and you can relax without worrying about mingling with other parties. At Sandon Manor, we aim to create a seamless, child-friendly wedding experience perfect for families. Our luxury Georgian Manor house is ideal for families, offering a games room, children’s books, and spacious baths to make bath time enjoyable. We also work with top nanny agencies, so when it’s time for your little ones to rest, they can be tucked in for the night while you continue enjoying the evening festivities.
Jenny, Gary, and their daughter chose Sandon Manor for their relaxed, family-friendly celebration. We loved how they included their younger guests and created a fun experience for all ages. One of the wonderful aspects of Sandon Manor is the abundance of outdoor green space, perfect for garden games and activities. Jenny and Gary opted for mini golf, beautifully set up in the walled garden by Drives of Yesteryear. They also created a child-friendly zone with an activity table, crafts, stickers, and sweets, keeping the children entertained throughout the day. To add to the fun, caricature artist Mark Reeve created brilliant portraits of all the guests, adding a playful touch to the event.
During the meal, each child received a personalised colouring book, and Portfolio Events provided a fun kids’ menu, complete with a live crepe station and an abundance of chocolate sauce! Photographer Erica Hawkins, who expertly captures candid shots of children, beautifully documented the day, resulting in many heartwarming photos.
To cap off the day’s playfulness, Jenny and Gary opted for a LEGO figure guest book, where guests created their mini-figures, resulting in a fun and memorable guest list recreated in LEGO form!
