Set against the stunning backdrop of Wilde Lodge, with its charming white brick interior and breathtaking views, the shoot combined vibrant pinks and reds with shimmering glitter balls and luxe velvet details. Every element, from statement cowboy boots to oversized bows, was designed to bring a fresh, playful twist to classic wedding styling. With Valentine (literally) leading the décor and Dearest Love behind the lens, this shoot was all about embracing love, color, and a little bit of Vegas magic in Wales.
Wilde Lodge is a breathtaking rural venue with a beautiful white brick interior. We instantly fell in love with it. The views are absolutely stunning, and the venue is full of hidden gems that shine in any season. It was the perfect blank canvas for our shoot.
The vision for the shoot was brought to life by Valentine, a wedding décor and planning company, in collaboration with photographers Kerri and Jim from Dearest Love. Our inspiration? A retro, Vegas-style runaway Valentine’s wedding. We were drawn to the bold combination of pink and red—colors we’ve seen everywhere lately—and shimmering glitter balls. The crisp white brick at Wilde Lodge made those hues pop, while velvet touches added a cozy winter feel. We incorporated oversized bows to tie it all together, even using them for the napkins.
The color palette was a striking mix of red, pink, white, and silver—perfectly capturing the Valentine’s theme and the retro, statement-making vibe we envisioned. The styling took cues from classic Vegas wedding aesthetics, featuring a chic short wedding dress paired with a black suit and bow tie. The bride’s oversized hair bow echoed the one on her dress and complemented the table décor beautifully. Instead of traditional wedding heels, we opted for statement cowboy boots, which added a bold edge and paired perfectly with the giant glitterballs. Even the makeup incorporated soft pink tones to seamlessly tie the entire look together.
Valentine styled the shoot and brought the entire concept to life. Working closely with Dearest Love, we curated a shared mood board to refine every detail. The combination of red and pink and a velvet red table runner made the entire setup pop. Glitterballs, a staple at weddings throughout 2024, added a fun, party-ready energy. Based in the Midlands but covering the entire UK, Valentine offers fully bespoke styling packages tailored to any vision—a wedding or a special event.
