The Setting
The tree-lined driveway welcomes you into this romantic landscape and immediately slows your pace and relaxes the mind. Surrounded by fields the lodge, the long barn and their safari tent are all perched above the river Teme and set against a backdrop of dark green woodlands beyond.
Even though the closest town, Knighton, is only a 10 minute drive away, the beautiful estate that Wilde Lodge sits on, gives you a peaceful and private place to hold your celebration.
The Vibe
The approach at Wilde Lodge is to be completely flexible to help you create a wedding every bit as unique as you are. Whether you are wanting a small and intimate wedding or a large feasting for a hundred guests all staying on site, no idea will be too large, no whim too far fetched – this is your celebration.
It is a venue that becomes a home for you and your guests, where you can stroll to your own private river, play games on the huge lawn, have photos with the dramatic hillside backdrop and even toast marshmallows around the fire pit come sunset; it’s wildly beautiful space to host a day to remember.
The Main Lodge sleeps 10 and features thoughtfully designed rooms that combine the traditional feel of the house with contemporary touches. If you have more guests to sleep on site Wilde lodge have three permanent luxury bell tents on their sloped lawn, each sleeping two guests.
With so much space surrounding the lodge Wilde Lodge can also accommodate up to an additional 120 guests, setting up beautiful bell tent villages for the weekend.
Next to the Main Lodge is The Long Barn which is a recently converted magical and rustic space to say ‘I Do’ in front of 90 seated guests or simply to use to party the night away in. The barn can be transformed into a chill out area, cinema, dance floor or cocktail bar, the choice is completely yours.
The newest addition to the site is the Wilde Safari Tent, a fabulous marquee nestled within the old barn walls, complete with its own bespoke bar and can seat 120 guests or 150 standing.
The Wilde Catering team have an array of delicious menu options for you to choose from as well as the option to create something especially for you. The passionate, innovative and creative team guarantee to offer a memorable culinary experience. Cooking beside the safari tent, their open fires will entice your guests to watch the magic and salivate over the delicious smells as they cook in front of you. The Wilde Bar team will also be on-hand at the stunning 6m wooden bar, serving up drinks tailored to your tastes.
Wilde Lodge pride themselves on their ‘hidden extras’ all in place to make your day perfectly unique. From the dining room in the Main Lodge, ideal for more intimate gatherings and pre-wedding family meals, to the riverside which is ideal for BBQs and wild swimming. The large gardens and grounds allow plenty of space to create beautiful bell tent villages so all your guests can have a luxurious glamping experience and your wedding can extend beyond the day and turn into a fun and fuss-free weekend celebration.
