Wilde Lodge

It’s hard to know where to start in praising Jemma, Kevin, Jules, Jess, and all of the staff who worked so hard before, during and after our wedding day to make it the very best experience for us and our guests. The accommodation, with its amazing views on-site, was luxurious, spacious, and comfortable and housed five families with small children easily, which made the preparations so fun on the day. The different zones at Wilde Lodge were so useful for the different parts of the wedding, and everything went so smoothly, considering we had a large number of guests (116). The Long Barn was perfect for our family photographs, the garden was a beautiful backdrop for our confetti walk, and the tent was a magnificent celebratory space for both our ceremony and wedding breakfast. I could go on and on about all of the little details, but they did so much for us I would be here all day. Thank you, Wilde Lodge. Great venue!

Wilde Lodge is the best venue and the best people you will come across.

We originally had another venue booked, they however went into liquidation, we were on the hunt for another venue for the same date to allow us to keep our suppliers. Fortunately, we found Wilde Lodge and from the moment we spoke to Maddy we knew this was going to be better than the wedding we had originally planned. They were so accommodating and so generous with their time. Maddy was always available for a quick call if we had more questions and really encouraging of our ideas for example we wanted mulled wine for the evening and she made it happen. They put our minds at ease at every turn.

We arrived on the Friday and sadly Maddy was ill, but Jemma jumped in and put our minds at rest. She even ran out and picked us up a quick lunch when we arrived as we’d not eaten but wanted to get stuck in to start setting up. Jemma had a giant document typed up by Maddy of how the wedding was going to run and the plan for each part. You can tell that they really care.

On the day the staff couldn’t have been nicer or more accommodating. From running to grab us some orange juice for mimosas whilst getting ready to speeding out to find some thank you bouquets after they’d been forgotten. Honestly I don’t know what more that they could have done for us, the day was absolutely perfect! Everything ran smoothly and we didn’t have to worry about a thing. We all had the best day.

Can’t wait to go back! We cannot recommend them highly enough.

I’ve had a wonderful weekend, very relaxed atmosphere, beautiful setting and amazing experience staying in the bell tent. Staff were very considerate to every need and were always available to help. I would recommend this venue for any event!

We spent almost a year looking for a wedding venue before finally finding Wilde Lodge. We wanted a relaxed celebration with our closest friends and family for our wedding day and Wilde Lodge was just absolutely perfect. A huge thank you to everyone at Wilde Lodge for giving us the absolute wedding day. We would definitely be described as wedding averse, but all the staff at the venue went above and beyond helping us create the best day and giving us complete flexibility with what we wanted to do. The house itself is absolutely gorgeous, and everyone has raved about how great the venue is. The options for small weddings (under 30 guests for us) are also excellent if that’s what you are looking for – the spaces are so versatile and somehow felt so intimate yet also a great space if you wanted a bigger celebration. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding day and can’t wait to come back one day!

My daughter and her fiancé selected this venue for their wedding, which took place there this week. When they and ourselves visited Wilde Lodge, we all fell in love with the place and the claims they made were very impressive! I can honestly say that the whole event was as near to perfection as you could possibly want. They listen, they adapt and are utterly attentive to your every need. The staff could not be more accommodating. If you wanted or needed it, all you had to do was ask and it got sorted. The claims they make during the sale are not hollow or half hearted, it is all completely heart felt and completely meant. They love weddings and they love making dreams come true. I simply cannot thank them enough for the experience they gave us.

We got married here and honestly had one of the best weekends of our lives! The venue is just as gorgeous as it looks in pictures. Jemma was endlessly flexible so that we were able to do things exactly as we wanted (this really is a massive selling point as most wedding venues can be very rigid). Maddy was just an absolute star in the days leading up to it and over the weekend. She really went over and above and she and the rest of the staff magically made everything run smoothly before we’d even thought of what needed doing. We couldn’t be happier or recommend Wilde Lodge more highly.

We had the most wonderful few days here for our wedding. Even though the weather was horrendous, the most perfect day was had by everyone. Location could not be better and the food was amazing. Would love to come back, thanks Jemma for making the day one to remember.

Such a beautiful house, sure to find amazing comforts and host’s have been a pleasure. Nothing too much trouble… food was amazing and when it came to the wedding day – all had been thought of and catered for.

Bride and Groom expected an amazing stay and got so much more. We all cannot thank you enough and will be back for the celebrations in December.

Jemma and her team were brilliant from the start! Since we decided to book this beautiful venue for our wedding, Jemma was helpful on every single turn. She was always on hand to answer questions or discuss ideas with us for the big day. We also enjoyed having the venue for the weekend (arrived Friday to set up and drink, wedding Saturday, venue to ourselves Sunday) we truly recommend doing this as It was so special. This venue is in the most perfect setting and is perfect for photos, and big or small get together due to it being in the countryside you don’t need to worry about being loud! Special shout out to Maddy who was our wedding coordinator, she was perfect and nothing was to big or little for her or the team to do. Maddy and Jemma have become dear friends to us and it was like leaving family on the Monday morning.

To wrap it up, this venue and the staff are perfect for any and all occasions! We will be back on a regular basis because it was so incredible. Book it, you won’t regret it.

We were so impressed with Wilde Lodge. The setting for a start is just beautiful, in the Welsh countryside. Views of the little stream, forests and hills set the scene for a wonderful weekend. The house and grounds were very stylish and kept very clean, and the interiors were well thought out. The staff were incredible, especially Jemma, who really went above and beyond, especially throughout the whole process of planning. She really made us feel in capable hands with everything running so smoothly over the weekend. The team are obviously pros at this because they knew exactly what they were doing, just running the grounds and keeping all of the guests happy but without being overly intrusive. Our guests all loved the venue and made many comments on how great everything was. We are more than happy with our experience at WL. If we could give it more than five stars, we would.

I cannot thank Jemma and the team enough. From start to finish they have been nothing but helpful, polite, organised and completely understood exactly what we wanted. The venue itself is stunning, relaxed, and so cosy. I loved the fact the we could use every space of the venue for different parts of the day. Jemma and the team are so helpful and kind, and I love them all. CSONS made a special request for our food menu, we wanted a super relaxed day and asked for burgers from their restaurant menu and doughnuts for pudding and it was delicious. Thank you so much, Jemma and everyone at Wilde Lodge, for going above and beyond for us! All of our guests have said how amazing it was!

After visiting Wilde Lodge to see the facilities and location, and discussing the options with Jemma, we decided to hold our wedding here last month.

When we told Jemma the sort of day that we wanted, she gave us lots of suggestions and recommendations for things to ensure a truly wonderful day, including local suppliers for everything from a bar to portable loos and the yurt. We took over the whole house, and the weekend started with dinner for the family in the dining room on Friday evening, all prepared and served by Jemma and her staff.

Some of our guests joined us for a walk from the Lodge on the hills on the other side of the river on Saturday morning, and when the time came for the ceremony to start, everything was in place. We hired a yurt which was erected on the lawn in front of the lodge, and held the ceremony in there and used it for dancing in the evening. The wedding breakfast served in the long barn was amazing – all local produce, with wonderful slow-cooked lamb as the main course. We had tried all of the courses and canapés at a tasting a few weeks before the event, and were really impressed by the quality of the catering.

The barn and the yurt were decorated with local wild flowers and greenery by a local supplier recommended by Jemma, and the flowers were beautiful. Exactly what we wanted for a relaxed but stylish wedding in the countryside.

Wilde Lodge is in a stunning location, and Jemma and her team fulfilled all of our expectations. Nothing was too much trouble, both on the day and in the months leading up to the wedding, and every one of our guests commented on just how perfect the weekend was. It helped that we had a glorious sunny day – but if the weather had changed, Jemma had contingency plans in place. Nothing was left to chance.

We had a truly wonderful day, thanks in no small way to Jemma and Wilde Lodge itself. Thank you.
