Amy & Alex: Timeless, Black-tie Summer Celebration at Pynes House

With classic Hollywood glamour, exquisite food, and personal touches throughout, A&A created the perfect summer party for their loved ones. Here’s a closer look at their stylish and joy-filled day…

The Venue

We were hoping to have a weekend-hire venue for an outdoor wedding ceremony, and with our loved ones staying with us, Pynes House was the perfect fit!

We fell in love with Pynes House the second we drove down their beautiful tree-lined driveway. It is a stunning, serene venue in Devon. Kate owns the venue and showed us around on our viewing day. She was kind and patient and gave us some really valuable advice for wedding planning.

The Fashion

The wedding dress was from Essence of Australia at Laura May Bridal. It was the second dress I tried on; when you know, you just know! My shoes were Jimmy Choo and my jewellery from Lily Roo. Anna created the most stunning Hollywood Waves, which lasted the whole day and night. Josie created a glowy, warm make-up look for me and my bridesmaid. I’ve never seen my skin look so amazing! With Josie’s experience working for Charlotte Tilbury, I knew she was the perfect makeup artist for my wedding day.

The Flowers

Emma Hewlett Flowers was our talented florist who created the most gorgeous flowers with peach, light pink and apricot tones. They complimented the bridesmaid’s dresses beautifully and brought our wedding breakfast setting to life. Emma is a lovely person, so easy-going and has brilliant attention to detail.

The Food & Drink

Pickle Shack created the most delicious three-course meal for our wedding breakfast, served by the most brilliant team. We had the pleasure of having a tasting day to select our menu. It was so tough to finalise a menu because everything served was mouth-watering! Special thank you to Jodie and Natalie, who helped bring together our menu and were so brilliant in accommodating dietary requirements.

The Photographer

Tara Statton is such a talented photographer who captured the most beautiful photos of our wedding day. She also did an engagement photoshoot for us, so we’ve been blessed with two lots of magical photos taken by Tara. We couldn’t be happier with them.

Tara is so calm, an all-round lovely person, and we felt completely at ease having her as our photographer. It really was a total joy to have her join us on our wedding day!
