The Setting
The Tithe Barn, nestling under beech hangers, is in the middle of a 300-acre farm within the South Downs National Park. The barn is Grade II* listed and has been sympathetically restored to its near original state, providing the perfect setting for your dream wedding.
The Tithe Barn lies in the beautiful hamlet of Ditcham on the border of Hampshire and West Sussex. They are just outside the old market town of Petersfield with direct rail links to London and Portsmouth.
The Vibe
The barn is unusually grand with six soaring stone arches, half-hammer beams and a flagstone floor, complete with underfloor heating. The old grain bins have been converted into a cosy balcony, providing an intimate space for those who prefer to sit back and enjoy the party.
The entrance doors open onto a picturesque meadow with stunning views of the South Downs, perfect for a champagne reception. Fairy-lit lime trees line the gravel driveway, adding a touch of magic as darkness falls.
The barn is an awe-inspiring setting that allows you to create your unique wedding reception. They are fully licensed for civil marriages and partnerships – the majestic stone arches provide the perfect backdrop to exchange your vows.
They can seat up to 250, although parties of 60 -120 are more usual. For smaller weddings, screening can be used to create a more intimate space.
They also have a spacious wedding preparation suite full of natural light; the Old Milking Parlour combines tranquillity with practicality to create the perfect getting-ready space.
