A gathering place for over 900 years, The Mount Without is an ethereal space that provides the perfect backdrop for a truly memorable wedding and has behind it a powerhouse team of award-winning creatives and wedding planners.
The Mount Without is located in the heart of Christmas Steps Arts Quarter Bristol. The Church is 10 minutes from the train station, 5 minutes from bus station and a 2 minute walk from the main hotels and airbnb’s and closest car park.
This beautiful building has been painstakingly renovated and restored to create a sense of being in a raw, abandoned place.
Exposed walls etched in paintings by local artists and stained glass combine with a suspended contemporary art installation and brand-new polished oak floor to create a modern ambiance, while at the same time retaining the building’s story and rich history.
Couples who appreciate the ethereal church aesthetic for their wedding gathering; alternative and creative couples looking for a unique, timeless wedding space, and those seeking a non-commercial wedding ambiance.
We've got some available spaces for suppliers and guests opposite the Church as well as being a 5 minute walk from the NCP which has a car park. Most of our wedding parties choose to use green travel or local travel links as we are central to Bristol.
We welcome well behaved dogs.
We don’t have on-site accommodation, but we do have a green room that the wedding party can use throughout the day, and we are situated in the heart of the city, so very close to a range of accommodation types and multi-storey car parking facilities.
We have a fully licensed bar, fully stocked with international and locally sourced beers, wines and spirits in The Crypt.
There is a kitchen available for use through our dry hire option, which is situated on the same level as the main Church space; a green room that can be used for storing personal possessions or where the wedding party can relax or get changed during the day; and we have a small, atmospheric woodland garden decorated with festoon lighting.
