It’s a fairly average number but we don’t really do ‘normal‘ or ‘average’ . Since we started in 2014 we have hosted over 700 weddings and every single one of them has been the couple’s Most Special Day . That is never forgotten by our team members - from Sales to Event Management to Kitchen, Housekeeping, front of house and maintenance.
Our smallest wedding was for 15 guests and our largest for 150 - no one more important than another.
Yes and trying our very best to improve all the time.
Non disposables have effectively been replaced by environmentally friendly products, our food and other produce is wherever possible locally sourced from carefully chosen suppliers and we have now installed charging units for our guests use with electric vehicles.
In addition to budgeting for your wedding venue, you’ll also need to set aside some budget to cover the cost of a registrar to conduct the ceremony. The registrar fees in West Sussex depend on the day of the week on which you have your wedding.
Yes, we’re fully licensed for civil ceremonies and you can choose from a range of beautiful rooms in the Manor, as well as our gorgeous outdoor gazebo. Our wedding licence means that if you wish, you can have your whole wedding and reception all in the same location, so you won’t have to worry about transport between ceremony and reception venues.
The definition of ‘exclusive use’ varies from one venue to another, but here at Southdowns it means you’ll get the whole Manor entirely for you and your guests from the moment you arrive on your big day to the moment you leave the day after. Yours will be the only wedding we’ll host for your booking dates, and our team will be completely dedicated to you and your guests. This level of privacy also means Southdowns can become your ‘home from home’ for the duration of your wedding celebrations.
