My husband and I cannot thank Lia, Shannon, Roland and all of the staff from the weekend enough. We had the best day of our lives. I hope every bride and groom says this to you, because you are the absolute best of the best! From finding Southdowns Manor on Instagram 4 years ago, I knew it was the only place for me and Stu. We didn’t look anywhere else, and when we came in 3 days after we got engaged we were not disappointed at all. We’ve loved coming in for every meeting and planning night, and we’ll happily come back again and again if you’ll have us. From arriving Saturday morning, Lia and the team just took care of everything, and it was just so easy for me to relax, as well as my bridesmaids and guests. The manor looked beautiful. Thank you for setting all of our decorations up, I didn’t have to worry about a thing, and our guests commented numerous times on how beautiful the manor is and how wonderful Lia and the team were. The cake knife, the bath, fizz and cake at the end of the night were just beautiful and again, thank you so much for setting it all up. Coming home the following day was surreal, as we want to do it all over again and again and again and again. We will never be able to thank you all enough, you didn’t miss a beat, nothing went wrong, nothing was missing, everything was perfect. My husband and I had the best day of our lives.

From the beginning Southdowns Manor were in constant contact and were great with helping us plan our big day. The day finally came around and I cannot speak highly enough of all the staff! Kate was our events manager and straight away she was there making sure we were all welcomed and settled. Nothing was too much trouble (including having to see one of our bridesmaids into her dress) all the little touches that were added to the day made our day feel so special and all our guests also were extremely satisfied with how well the staff did their jobs and everyone felt as though the day was a huge success. I would definitely recommend this venue to anybody who wants a day that feels personal to them.

Wow, what a day we had! It was absolutely incredible, everything we have ever dreamt of and more! The stunning venue, the delicious food, the perfect details, the friendly staff, the amazing efforts that you all put in is brilliant. We honestly had the best day of our lives! From first seeing the venue and booking it in 2019, we knew that Southdowns Manor was the dream venue for us, and it certainly lived up to its expectations. We cannot thank Lia enough for everything she did for us. She was always at the end of every email with all the answers, reassuring us right up to every detail on the day, checking in that everything was okay. It certainly wouldn’t have run as smoothly without her. She is by far the best of the best, and we are so grateful for everything she did to ensure our day was magical! From the moment we drove in to have our first show around, we were mesmerised by Southdowns, and when we were welcomed by the team, it was the same. Safe to say, we booked our wedding that day. Communication was great on the run-up to the date, with regular emails and even a Christmas treat through the post. We chose the two-day event, and when the food was served on the first night we all thought if the food at the actual wedding was as good as this, we would be very happy. We were not disappointed, and there were a fair few chefs in the wedding party. The wedding went without a hitch. Everything was perfect, from the downstairs of the manor to the bedrooms, the food and the DJ, and as a bonus, we even managed to get married outside as the weather was gorgeous. Lia was our wedding planner, and she was amazing, never in our faces but always there if we needed her, almost as if by magic. Many people have contacted us over the past week and said it was one of the best weddings they have ever attended and would recommend Southdowns to anyone who was asking if they knew of a wedding venue. All that is left to say is I wish for any bride and groom to have the same amazing wedding as we did and it was made possible by an amazing team. Thank you, Lia and the team at Southdowns Manor.

We cannot thank you enough as Mr and Mrs!

We literally had the most amazing day and truly loved every second. You and the team were incredible and the attention to detail was astounding! I really treasured the moment Lia (our brilliant wedding planner) showed us the dressed room for the wedding breakfast – it was beautiful!

The guests had nothing but praise and great comments on the venue, food, service and generally everything in between. We were chilled and happy all day, and that is down to your excellent team! I think our jaws ached from our constant grins and laughter.

Thank you for checking in, going up my skirt to fix my hoop, and generally going above and beyond throughout the day to make it so special.

Our little girls keep asking ‘can we have another wedding day there’ – if you can win the hearts of a 4 and 9 year old, then you are doing so much right.

We honestly couldn’t have wished for anything more, and we were sad to see the evening end!

From the moment we contacted the Sales Team at Southdowns Manor to the moment we left site the morning after our wedding, we couldn’t fault the service we received! There has never been any doubt in our mind that we chose the perfect venue for us, and you really feel that everyone there is intent on ensuring your special day runs smoothly and stress-free. The venue is a perfect blank canvas to put your own stamp on your style. We had many compliments on the food, and there is so much space for any needs you or your guests may have, including a dedicated dressing area. The venue is totally accessible but there was particular consideration given to a guest in a wheelchair. A special thank you to our planner, Becky, who was brilliant at keeping in contact with us throughout our engagement and would answer any questions we had for her, however small, so promptly. On the day, she was there to calm any nerves, was clear and encouraging to all members of the wedding party and was just there to make sure everything was as we wanted it to be. Thank you everyone! We had a perfect day and wish we could do it all again! We would not hesitate to recommend Southdowns Manor to any couples we know.

From the minute we first drove up Dumpford Lane and laid our eyes on Southdowns Manor we knew it would be the place for us. It was everything we dreamed of from a venue and Natalie helped us make it a reality so we booked it within an hour of arriving. Lois was a great point of contact throughout the planning stages and helped sort out a few little extras/bespoke things we wanted before we were handed over to Kate. Kate… I have no words, she was always at the end of the phone or an email. She made our day completely perfect, nothing was too much and everything was just taken care of so we didn’t have to stress. The little extras she sorted out for us were such a nice touch and made us a little emotional. Katie (night porter) and Mark (in house DJ) were fab too! Our guests had nothing but compliments about the whole day (especially about the food and some even said it was the best they’ve ever had at a wedding.)

Right from day one everyone at Southdowns Manor couldn’t do enough for us. Booking with Natalie, meeting with Kate and then having Lia as our events manager, all three of them were so amazing! When Lia was given our wedding to manage she was incredible. She couldn’t do enough for us and she was on hand to answer my endless list of questions! Nothing was too much for Lia. On the day she was amazing, making sure the day went smoothly, everything was absolutely perfect! Every single member of staff were brilliant, all so friendly and kind. The food was incredible, we have had so many compliments on the food. The soup was the best we’ve ever tasted! We were given a personalised cake knife by the team, which is something we will treasure forever. Every part of Southdowns Manor is perfect, from the staff to the building itself. If you’re thinking of going anywhere else for your wedding – just don’t! Southdowns Manor is the place to go!

We can’t thank Southdowns enough for helping us to have the most special day of our lives. It was just amazing from start to finish. As soon as we pulled up, we knew it was the venue for us. This was then cemented by how friendly, helpful and informative Natalie was and that it would be exclusively ours for the entire wedding.

We were made to feel special from the off and not just one of many. This was how we were treated throughout the whole wedding, including the planning stage. We were helped loads in our planning meetings, everything was explained so well. Becky was always at the end of an email, answering all my questions in the lead-up to the big day, as well as reassuring me.

Becky and all the team were also just incredible throughout the Wedding day at ensuring everything ran smoothly. Becky made sure we were all OK and on time getting ready, that we had everything we needed and that just every single little detail (and I mean everything) was thought about all day. We didn’t have to worry about a thing. The outside ceremony was just perfect.

The food was also out of this world, and they catered for loads of dietary requirements.

The bath being run, cake and champagne on ice for the end of the evening was also just perfect. The next morning, we were also well looked after by the whole team.

Honestly, if you are looking for somewhere to have your special day, look no further because nothing is better or can beat Southdowns Manor and their amazing team. Choosing this venue was the easiest and best decision we made. Thank you so much for making our wedding so perfect.

We cannot thank Southdowns Manor enough for everything they’ve done to give us the most magical wedding day. From stepping through the doors at an Open Day in March to our actual wedding day four months later, it has been the most amazing time! The exceptional detail to everything and personalised service, together with the outstanding food and wonderful staff made our day a dream come true – I can honestly say it was better then we could ever have imagined! I would like to personally thank Lois as she is incredible at what she does and was so patient with us and I cannot thank her enough. I would highly recommend to anyone to stay the night before as it made the experience so relaxing and fun. The wedding day itself I would not change one thing, perfect it truly was, and all thanks to the team. From the food (all our guests messaged us to say how amazing the food was) to the staff being so lovely and the smooth running of the day – again thanks to Lois! The honeymoon suite is a dream and our guests again contacted us to say how wonderful their rooms were and breakfast was amazing! I could go on as we have been so happy and will recommend Southdowns Manor to any bride I come into contact with! A truly exceptional time, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Then came the planning meetings which were so clear and structured, I felt completely at ease that Southdowns Manor had this under control.The communication from all the staff throughout the planning process was beyond excellent. Finally, our wedding day arrived, myself and Harry were completely care free all day, Southdowns Manor really pulled it out of the bag and created such a beautiful day for us both! We cannot thank Lia enough for everything she did in the lead up and on the day itself.

Southdowns Manor is a stunning wedding venue that is surrounded by gorgeous scenery. The staff were so helpful and no problem was too big or small. They were on hand for our every need on the day and made us feel really special. It was a magical day that I will treasure forever so thank you
