Sorry it’s taken longer than anticipated, we’ve gone to write a testimonial a few times and honestly can’t find the words to express how grateful we are for everything you have done for us. You have been so kind, helpful and thoughtful throughout our whole wedding planning process. As soon as we came to Pauntley Court we just knew we wanted to get married there. Your home is absolutely beautiful, and such a special place.

We have made the most special memories to last a lifetime, and had the most incredible weekend spent with our closest family and friends. It was overwhelming after such a terrible year and we are just so happy it all went ahead as planned. We are so sad it is all over!

We hope to come to stay again one day, and thank you again for everything.

Our wedding weekend at Pauntley Court was simply magical. The house was a perfect base for our close family and friends for the weekend, everyone was in awe of the beautiful interiors and attention to detail throughout. We enjoyed a relaxed supper in the spacious kitchen the evening before the wedding itself, followed by some drinks in front of the fire in the lounge afterward. On the wedding morning, the bridal party had breakfast and got ready in the well-lit ballroom, it was a serene atmosphere, which was only complemented with the views out of the garden through the window.

We used the gardens for our wedding reception, the guests loved adventuring into to the different areas and seeing the spring flowers which had just started to bloom. The little bridesmaids were in their absolute element, playing hide and seek amongst the box hedges.

Melissa and team went out of their way to make our wedding weekend absolutely perfect in every way, we couldn’t thank them more and we are just sad now that it’s all over! We can’t wait to find another excuse to book Pauntley Court and come back!

I can’t express how perfect the day, and the whole weekend, was! We had the most wonderful day filled with love, joy and laughter. Pauntley Court was a huge part of this. It’s just the most beautiful location and we will think so fondly of it forever!

Melissa and Parky are so warm, welcoming and lovely. It was a pleasure organising the day with you in the lead up to the wedding day.

Thank you ever so much for everything! It truly was the best day of our lives, I’m not sure my words are sufficient to explain this! Rachel’s help was invaluable, she helped so much and meant we could focus all our time on the day and spending time with friends and family, knowing she was there was such a big bonus. We couldn’t have imagined a more perfect place to get married than Pauntley. The first time we went we both instantly knew it was the right place for us, it has a special feel about it as soon as you arrive. The house is amazing, decorated beautifully throughout with so many nice touches. The gardens are incredible, and we loved that there are so many different areas to use within it over the weekend. We loved having the venue for the whole weekend as it meant we were able to celebrate with friends and family on Friday and Sunday too which made the weekend even more exciting.

I’m not sure we have the words to express how we feel about our wedding at Pauntley Court. I haven’t stopped crying since you came to say goodbye to us!

It was the most magical, warm and beautiful experience, and wonderful to share it with our family. Our family were blown away by your beautiful house and gardens and just how special a place this is.

Please say a huge thank you to Jules for allowing us to visit and pick some flowers and for arranging some flowers for our Mums. And a massive thank you to the wonderful Rachel. Rachel was amazing and even mind read on Wednesday morning! I was in bed thinking ‘why didn’t I ask Rachel to set up for breakfast, I don’t want to do this’

We can’t thank you all enough for opening your home to allow us to have the most amazing wedding. It was all we hoped and dreamed of – and more! The whole day really was perfect – to wake up to a gorgeous sunrise at Pauntley Court, get ready with all our favourite people and then walk to the church was amazing and I will never forget seeing all our friends and family enjoying themselves in the gorgeous gardens in the most amazing September sunshine. We felt unbelievably lucky all weekend and know that our day really was perfect – a huge part of that was down to the amazing venue that Pauntley Court is. Thank you all again.

In the months before our wedding, we had an unexpected circumstance which left us without a venue and it was a blessing in disguise. Finding, exploring and booking Pauntley Court was the best thing that happened to our wedding. The team were friendly, helpful and accommodating before, during and after our event. All of our guests were in awe of the house and grounds, we felt completely separated from the rest of the world as we were surrounded by gorgeous British countryside. Prior to our arrival, the team prepared and arranged gorgeous flower arrangements throughout the house which reflected the significant flowers for our wedding. The bedrooms, communal areas and outdoor areas had obviously been prepared with great care and attention. The night before our wedding, we hosted a dinner for the bridal and groom’s party to start the celebrations. The team at Pauntley Court set up the room so beautifully and appropriately for this event. On reflection, if we were to do this again, we would make more use of the gorgeous house during the celebrations. We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the team at Pauntley Court for their work during our wedding. We can’t wait for another excuse to return to Pauntley Court for a celebration, stay or visit.

Pauntley Court was an amazing venue for our intimate wedding in April 2024. We had a total of 16 people, we viewed a few venues that could have catered for us, but Pauntley stood out as the best, and we are very pleased we chose this one. The entire day went smoothly, and this is thanks to Melissa and Jilly, who were extremely helpful and very friendly throughout the planning process and on the day. We were lucky with the weather which meant we could utilise a lot of the fabulous grounds as well as the beautiful house over the weekend. We were married in the panelled room in front of the fireplace, which was incredibly romantic and worked perfectly, and I would highly recommend it for an intimate wedding.

Married April 2024

When we were planning our wedding, we chose to have an intimate celebration (28 people) and as soon as we found Pauntley Court we knew it was the only place we would want to get married.

On our venue visit we fell in love with the charming building exterior, the immaculate gardens and the opulent, yet comfortable interior. Pauntley Court comprises the perfect mixture of history, character and modern features.

The 3 day stay, accompanied with the buildings terracotta walls, extensive gardens and the early May sunshine set deep in the English countryside gave our guests the feel of a European destination wedding without the hassle and expense of travelling.

The exclusivity of the house worked perfectly for our wedding party and all our needs were more than accommodated for. The entirety of the home was kept immaculate for the duration of our stay through the support of Rachel the housekeeper, she worked unobtrusively to ensure that all our needs were met. This was also mirrored in the hosts; Melissa and Mark, and our assigned wedding co-ordinator Rebecca. They worked efficiently to ensure that the day ran perfectly and was everything we’d hoped for.

We can’t thank the team at Pauntley Court enough and feel so lucky that we were fortunate to host our wedding in such an extraordinary piece of history. There really is nowhere else quite like it; it’s a truly magical venue that was enjoyed by our whole wedding party.

The wedding day itself was a dream come true. The September sun shone, and the venue was transformed into a scene of pure romance. We got to eat under the hornbeam trees and just as we had envisioned and our guests were truly impressed. The seamless coordination by the staff ensured that everything ran like clockwork, allowing us to relax and fully immerse ourselves in the joy of the moment. The team’s dedication to making our day special was evident in every aspect, and their positive energy added an extra layer of happiness to the celebration.

Married September 2023

Pauntley offers so much that is unusual as a venue. We had our ceremony down by the lake, which was just beautiful, but there are five or six places you could have something equally special and lovely with a slightly different feel. You could make it more formal up in the gardens nearer the house, or more boho in these little clearings they have in the woods surrounded by willow trees and ducks near the lake at the bottom. Smaller weddings could even be in the house and that in itself would be incredibly special. The church just next door is also beautiful if you would prefer a traditional church service. What we loved was the openness of the views (breathtaking) and the intimacy of being by the water. Every one of our guests and the local suppliers who arrived who didn’t already know it commented on how spectacular a place it is. Honestly, it is such an unusual mix. We were very lucky to find something so luxurious and comfortable on the one hand, and quirky, intimate and characterful on the other. Pauntley is a unique house and Melissa and Mark are the most willing and supportive team you could hope for to help you plan. If you want a country wedding that feels more intimate than most stately homes, but still want comfort for guests and a luxurious and unique place for you as a couple, you should definitely consider it as your venue.

We fell in love with Pauntley Court as soon we stepped out of our car to visit the property. It has this timeless charm and rustic beauty that transported us to our very own fairytale. Melissa has been so helpful and kind from the moment we met, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience to organise our intimate wedding.

The unique thing with Pauntley is that it is so effortlessly idyllic and beautiful: you don’t need much besides a happy couple to create a memorable wedding for yourself and the guests alike. Our overnight stay has made it even more special, and we basked in its spell a tad longer with little surprises from the Pauntley team. We are elated to have chosen Pauntley for our August elopement. Thank you, Melissa and the team, as well as their recommended suppliers who made our wedding day so special.

I just wanted to thank you and your team for your assistance in making Sophie and Graham’s wedding so special last weekend. Everything was perfect. I am sure you all run around madly behind the scenes to achieve this but to us guests, it seemed effortless.

Rachel (Housekeeper) was magnificent in the kitchen, and even when potential rain may have made last-minute alterations to venues for certain parts of the celebrations, everything was covered.

The house and grounds are stunning, and several guests declared it to be the best wedding they had ever attended.

I am so grateful for all your hard work hosting us, the whole experience made our wedding day truly special. I will never forget waking up at Pauntley on the day of the wedding, it was so magical. You went out of your way to make sure everything was perfect for us, right down to the finishing touches – flowers, breakfast and of course, hedgehog bread! Everything was immaculate. Staying at Pauntley was more than the icing on the cake! All the family loved their stay, and everyone commented on how beautiful the house was.

Wow! What an amazing day and an amazing venue! We cannot thank you enough for helping to make it the best day of our lives! Pauntley Court really is the most beautiful and magical place, so many of our guests could not believe what a hidden gem it is! It is so unique, informal and relaxed. The house is truly fantastic and the gardens are really beautiful. You also provided us with such support leading up to the wedding, and on the day it was great that you left us to it but were also on hand if we needed anything. Holly was also amazing. We had the most perfect day at Pauntley Court. The venue and grounds are stunning and Melissa and the team go out of their way to make sure that every little detail is considered and everyone is looked after. We were so keen to have our families stay with us onsite for the wedding weekend, and Pauntley provided beautiful, comfortable accommodation – we just wish we could have stayed longer! The spaces are perfect for the intimate wedding we had planned, and the suppliers we found in the area (from Melissa’s magical list) were also brilliant.
