Located just 5 miles from Shrewsbury and immersed in the beauty of Shropshire’s countryside, Moat Hall Barns is a sympathetically restored grade II listed historic farm complex.
Set in its own private courtyard, surrounded by a patchwork of grazing pasture, you and your guests will delight in escaping the commotion of everyday life and experience a truly magical setting that is exclusively yours.
Dating back to the 18th century, The Top Barn is the oldest and most architecturally stunning of the barns and features tall vaulted ceilings, exposed oak beams and original red brick walls.
Enjoy your wedding breakfast and evening entertainment surrounded by loved ones, and take in the charm and character of the barn’s original features.
As if that wasn’t enough, moving upstairs to The Hayloft, you will discover the viewing gallery over The Top Barn that doubles as a ceremony area and later a serene space for your guests to relax.
You’re spoilt for choice at Moat Hall Barns, with several options for where to exchange your vows:
If it’s lush open space that you’re looking for, then The Paddock has got you covered. You can site an elegant marquee or tipi, and guests can play games and even enjoy camping overnight there.
A dry hire venue is a blank canvas that allows you to handpick your suppliers and decor to suit your unique style, taste and budget. The potential is off the charts when the only limitation is your imagination.
We are happy to give recommendations, but there are no restrictions on what you choose.
No, we do not charge for corkage. A 'corkage charge' is a fee that a venue can charge customers who bring their own wine or other alcoholic drinks to their venue.
Although the outdoor ceremony at The Lake takes place under cover, your guests will be exposed to the elements, and if the weather isn't favourable, you may have to move things indoors. But don't worry, The Covered Yard and The Hayloft can be used for your ceremony instead.
With the historic market town of Shrewsbury only 5 miles away, there are many great options for a range of budgets in the area. A comprehensive accommodation guide is available on request.
The Paddock can also be used for complementary camping, and we can suggest bell tent suppliers to take the hassle of camping away!
