The Barn at Drovers

Being in a band and attending loads of festivals, our wedding had to have that type of vibe. By chance we came across this gorgeous farm outside Hay on Wye and it was perfect. Loved their food, homegrown and cooked outdoors. Seasonal and ethically sourced. The Chef customised a few of their sample menus and made it our own. The Farm is so beautiful that you don’t need to add much in the way of decor. What I loved is that everything was included in the price. All other venues had loads of add ons. The bar is fully stocked with local gins and amazing cocktails too. The accommodation is luxury and all of our guest loved the concept of a weekend celebration. Highly recommend.

Caribbean Feast.

Faye and Steve’s wedding was so incredible, and this is down to the amazing team you have and how you planned every last detail. The Caribbean feast was Faye’s dream food and was delicious, and watching it cook on the fires was memorable for the guests. Your venue is a piece of magic that I am sure will be fully booked once word gets out.

As soon as we drove down the tree lined drive we knew this was it. After searching for a unique wedding venue that would suit us “a wedding not wedding venue”, we had finally found it. Hidden away but close to Hay the farm was perfect. Barns, outdoor fields and woodland. A blank canvas to bring our dream to reality. Kesri and her team worked seamlessly to bring it alive. I loved the concept of a weekend wedding and the accommodation with its glamorous canvas cottages and stone cottages create the backdrop for an outdoor natural wedding. I loved that you could make the dinner a formal seated affair but still have an informal rest of the weekend outdoors festival vibe.

We were looking for a venue that was rustic but still with all the benefits like proper toilets, heating etc. that was included in the venue hire. On our search most places charge extra for this (plus chairs, tables, crockery). The venue had a simple pricing structure so we could manage our budget. It’s rustic but with all the modern features one is used to. And their late licence meant we could party till 1am. Love, love that they actively limit our carbon footprint too!

Magical Wedding.

Firstly, I just want to say the biggest possible thank you for the most wonderful, magical wedding weekend. Drovers was absolutely the perfect venue for Ben and Suziey’s wedding – the setting, the accommodation and everything about the farm is wonderful, and the food throughout the weekend was out of this world! You and your crew were fantastic, and you worked so hard! Also, a huge thank you for being so thoughtful and flexible about the last-minute changes due to the British weather.

This venue is the best kept secret. Book it while you can as it is a hidden gem and as soon as word gets out will be fully booked. Our wedding here was magical. Kesri & her team were charming and so accommodating of our every need. The farm is stunning and has loads of hidden spaces that the owners point out once they get to know what you envision your wedding to be. The two barns and courtyard flow well together and I loved their food. Feasts that are seasonal, much of it grown on the farm or locally sourced and cooked on open fires. I couldn’t have asked for a better venue. Stumbled upon it by chance.

They have a cool vibe about them and are the most wonderful people to work with. Nothing is too much trouble and all they do is to make your big weekend really special. Their food is really wonderful and is a theatre on its own, cooked on open fires. We had loads of kids in our wedding party and they were free to roam the land and all had a wonderful time – even the parents.

Utterly Exceptional Wedding Venue.

I wouldn’t have dreamed of having our wedding anywhere else. Other venues may have insisted on cookie-cutter solutions for the day, but Drovers is all about letting you run wild with your creativity, using their stunning venue as a blank canvas and making it feel as unique to you as a couple. We loved that all our guests could stay onsite and we could celebrate for the entire weekend. The Drovers staff kept us well fed and watered and I must say the food was incredible.

A real gem of a find. What a stunning wedding venue with so many different spaces to choose from, no matter the weather. The food was incredible too, our family are still raving about our wedding. Thank you for your amazing hospitality.

I love animals and this farm is teaming with them. They had me at the Alpacas! The Barns are stunning and so are the grounds. A perfect non wedding like set up thats quirky and different. I loved the setting and the seasonal food. And will forever remember the magic that is Drovers.

I didn’t want to spend ages planning all the details of the wedding and that’s what I loved about the Drovers Barn. It didn’t need much decorating at all as the beauty of the venue is absolutely stunning! I didn’t have to worry about the food, bar, chair, crockery hire etc. Just invites, celebrant, flowers and us getting ready. Bliss for me.

Loved the idea of bringing all our guests away for a weekend of celebrating. Kinda like a destination wedding but not overseas, where not all our friends and family could afford. When we discovered The Barn At Drovers it was amazing! They had exactly what we needed. Stunning spaces we could choose for different parts of the wedding weekend and lush food cooked on open fires grown right there on the farm organically. What we loved most is not having to rush away after the wedding but to spend time from the Friday to the Sunday with our guests. Staying on the farm, all the guests got to feed the animals and enjoy a camp fire in the woods so it felt like a proper weekend away. We would highly recommend to any couple wanting a special wedding thats different to the tried and tested.

We were searching for a wedding venue that was quirky and different to your traditional wedding. We loved the idea of an outdoor ceremony with the reception being in a barn, but were worried in case the weather was not great on the day. Kesri and Paul worked with us and were so flexible in making our dreams come true. The venue has two barns we could use and they were happy to change the ceremony area even up to two hours before! Lucky for us the weather held and we had a magical wedding celebration for the whole weekend.

Outstanding Food.

We got married at Drovers Rest in September 2022, having come across the venue on Instagram. We loved the venue and what it offered and after a Video call with Kesri, one of the owners, we booked without visiting! We felt so confident in what we were getting, and it did not disappoint. It was everything we wanted our wedding weekend to be. It is the most amazing venue. With amazing views, the cutest animals and great accommodation that enabled us to spend the weekend there with everyone closest to us. But our biggest thing was tasty food and lots of it – we certainly got that! The food is outstanding all our guests commented on the food that was served to them on our wedding day. From our initial call with Kesri and then meeting Paul, they were very relaxed and helpful with all of our queries. The staff throughout the weekend couldn’t have been more helpful. We wish we could do it all again and look forward to coming back to visit. I would recommend this venue to anyone wanting a relaxed weekend wedding with lots of food and drink and a place to make your own!
