A wonderful wedding venue.

We were fortunate enough to get married at Chateau Lacanaud last year and still have the fondest memories of what was a perfect weekend.

The Chateau is absolutely gorgeous with the most tasteful of interior design and decoration and the most wonderful hosts, Jonny and Liz. Ourselves and our guests had nothing but compliments regarding our stay, highly recommended.

Wedding of our Dreams.

We had our wedding at Chateau Lacanaud at the beginning of July and can only say what a fantastic time we had. We came across the Chateau by accident the year before on our wedding venue visit through France, and it’s the best “accident’ we’ve ever had. From the moment we walked in and saw the gorgeous Chateau and grounds, my now wife’s heart was immediately set on having our wedding there. It was a great choice, and the hosts, Jonny and Liz, were so helpful, helping us with recommendations for various suppliers. our regular questions and general communications were responded to quickly and efficiently. We can’t thank them enough, especially for organising a safari tent with less than 24 hours to cope with the rain forecast for our wedding day (who plans for rain on the 1st of July in southern France!) – and thank you, Jonny, for checking the weather and coming to us to suggest the tent!

The feedback from all of our guests was fantastic – they loved the Chateau and the surrounding area – with plenty of accommodation, restaurants and bars in Eymet for all guests not staying at the Chateau. I would recommend booking accommodation in Eymet early especially in wedding season (as well as taxi/transport to the Chateau).

Married July 2023

An incredible stay.

We booked the Chateau back in August 2021, for our wedding in June 2023 and, from the offset, Jonny and Liz were fantastic. We had an initial FaceTime conversation with them both as we couldn’t see the venue due to COVID restrictions at the time, and when we finally saw our venue in November 2022, it was more than we could have ever dreamt of. The venue is stunning; it’s located very close to a local town (Eymet), which made it really accessible for our guests to book for our wedding, and Liz has decorated the inside so beautifully. It also has the most beautiful lake and swimming pool on site.

During our stay for our wedding, Jonny and Liz made us feel so incredibly welcome and couldn’t do enough for us. Before our arrival, Jonny even took the time out to go into Eymet and book a restaurant for us! The guests that stayed with us over the weekend, and the other guests we had for our wedding could not compliment the Chateau enough.

We had the dream wedding, thanks to this venue and we were so very sad to leave.

I would 100% recommend booking this for your future wedding or a stay with your friends and family.

We got married here and it was an absolutely perfect experience. The hosts went out of their way to ensure that we had the most fabulous day. The property was spectacular, elegant, comfortable, incredibly special. Oh, and the pool overlooking the lake, and the overall grounds were like something out of a fairy tale. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

Simply the best experience from start to finish.

From the initial show round to the big day itself, we could not have been better hosted and catered for by Chateau Lacanaud.

Jonny and Liz, the owners, were fabulous. Nothing was too much trouble and we were so grateful for their insights, tips and connections locally. It was a pleasure working with them throughout the process and we miss their helpful and cheerful correspondence!

The property itself is beautiful—quintessential French elegance throughout. It is private but also very easily accessible for our guests from Bordeaux, Bergerac, and Toulouse.

The gardens and grounds are stunning with the lake as the backdrop to the pool a particular highlight.

We cannot recommend both the venue and Jonny and Liz as the owners enough – our day was unforgettable and was made possible through their help and the simply gorgeous setting.

Sublime, in every way, is the only way to describe Lacanaud. The Chateau is magnificent from every angle – from its gorgeous exterior to the exquisite interior. The grounds were the perfect backdrop for our wedding. Thank you so much to our amazing hosts. For anyone lucky enough to book the Chateau, you’re in for an absolute treat.

What was so amazing was that it was as if we were at three different parties over the weekend. We could never have expected such a magical experience. You made the weekend perfect! We cannot thank you enough.

The Ultimate Wedding Weekend.

My husband and I (along with all of our immediate family members) stayed at Chateau Lacanaud in August this year to celebrate our wedding and we could not have had a more wonderful experience.

Right from our first expression of interest, Jonny was so helpful in giving us a thorough and full tour of the Chateau (as we are based in the UK and couldn’t get out to France to see the venue for quite some time) and we felt completely secure in booking from abroad.

The rooms are beautifully decorated and the grounds are pristinely kept. We viewed quite a lot of venues in the area, and what I think felt so special about Lacanaud is how homely it felt despite how grand it looks. We felt like we had our own little piece of paradise for 3 days! The pool is also incredible. A very rare find.

Liz and Jonny made us aware that they would be on-site (in a very private area away from the rest of our wedding party) should we need anything, but they would ensure we had complete privacy.

It is also perfectly located near the beautiful village of Eymet, where all of our guests were able to stay.

At check out on Monday morning, Jonny and Liz very kindly allowed us to check out slightly later (given we have lots of young nieces and nephews who don’t quite yet appreciate a sense of urgency when packing up when they could be swimming!). Not to mention the fact that I left my hairdryer in the honeymoon suite and one of Jonny’s very kind team members, Liz, has shipped it back to the UK for me!

Thank you so much for everything – we only wish that we could do it all again!
