A magical secluded, historic, wooded destination set on the banks of the river Coquet in Northumberland.
22 miles north of Newcastle, 35 mins drive from Newcastle Central railway station and 20 minutes from Newcastle Airport. It’s also 100 miles from Edinburgh, just two hours by car. Brinkburn is situated in mid Northumberland – 8 miles from the beach, 3 miles from the National Park and 25 miles from Hadrian’s Wall.
Brinkburn is the centre of a country estate surrounded by woodland, fields, and all in the bend of the River Coquet.
Brinkburn has undergone a transformation and now brings together the best in contemporary accommodation, stylish canvas tipis, the spectacle of a scheduled monument and a welcoming wedding team.
The Brinkburn Team provide a professional wedding planning service and deliver a discrete but efficient event. Their events are relaxed and informal and they create a beautiful opportunity for a Bride and Groom to host there friends and family in laid-back luxury.
The ceremony, either civil (for 80 guests) or religious (for up to 180 guests) can be tuned to your needs. The event is planned over the weekend with Friday dealing with final decorations and rehearsals, Saturday the main event, and Sunday a day to relax with friends and family before leaving on Monday morning.
Brinkburn create a laid back country event – They provide food from the informal spit roast pig to the more formal wedding breakfast. They work with live musicians or DJ’s and have their own bar and bar staff providing most drinks from cocktails to local ales.
If you’re looking for a ‘destination’ venue where you can call home for a few days, then this is pretty perfect my friends…
At Brinkburn, they have parking, ramps and a toilet which are accessible by disabled guests. For further info on disabled access, please get in touch with the venue.
