Bredon Manor is a grand country house surrounded by the rolling Gloucestershire countryside. Weddings here are intimate, with only a handful hosted each year. The estate, including the gardens, is exclusively yours for the weekend. Guests can enjoy drinks on the lawn and explore the sunken rose garden.
The village church of St Giles sits immediately next door, with a private gate from its churchyard directly into the gardens of Bredon Manor. Couples can be married at St Giles and walk through the gate to their reception. Alternatively, a celebrant can perform a blessing in the grounds or in the wedding barn.
There are no fixed templates at Bredon Manor. Each celebration is designed around the couple. Drinks and canapés can be served on the lawn in front of the Manor, by the pool, or on the lawn overlooking the church. The wedding barn provides an elegant wet-weather alternative. The estate also hosts Friday welcome receptions and Sunday pool parties, turning the day into a full weekend.
The weekend hire includes the two-bedroom Coach House and the two-bedroom Lodge for Friday and Saturday nights, plus two Georgian bedrooms in the Manor House on Saturday night, one of which is ideal for the wedding party to get ready in. Up to 16 guests can stay across the estate, with additional Manor House bedrooms available to hire.
From canapés on the lawn to feasting in the barn, street food to a traditional sit-down meal, their preferred caterer, Napier, crafts each menu around the couple. No corkage is charged, so couples can bring whatever they like to toast the day.
Sustainability is woven into how Bredon Manor operates as a family home and wedding venue. The team works with local Cotswold suppliers wherever possible, maintains its own gardens and grounds, and on-estate accommodation means guests stay where they celebrate rather than commuting to hotels. Couples are encouraged to support locally sourced or personally meaningful choices.
Bredon Manor sits on the edge of Bredon village, a quiet Cotswold settlement with two excellent pubs and a footpath along the River Avon. The medieval market town of Tewkesbury is seven minutes away, with Cheltenham twenty minutes beyond. The National Trust’s 14th-century Tithe Barn borders the estate. Additional guest accommodation is available in the village and the surrounding area.
Bredon Manor is two and a half hours from London by car, twenty minutes from Cheltenham, and around an hour from Bristol or Birmingham. Ashchurch for Tewkesbury station (four miles away) connects to major cities by rail, with direct London services from Evesham (thirty minutes). Birmingham and Bristol airports are within an hour. There is on-site parking for fifty cars.
