Just 35 minutes from Dublin and surrounded by the rolling landscape of the Boyne Valley, Boyne Hill House Estate offers a countryside setting that feels wonderfully removed from the everyday. A long avenue lined with mature trees leads guests towards the estate, creating a sense of arrival from the very beginning.
At its heart sits a blush-pink Georgian manor house, framed by gardens, open countryside and established greenery that changes with the seasons. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming, whether you’re gathering outside on a summer afternoon or celebrating beside candlelight during the winter months.
The Secret Garden is a secluded outdoor space with winding pathways, established planting and views towards the River Boyne. A garden gazebo forms the focal point for ceremonies, while streams and mature greenery create a relaxed atmosphere that feels closely connected to the landscape around it.
For indoor celebrations, the Conservatory provides a light-filled alternative. Carefully restored and centred beneath a striking glass roof, the space welcomes natural daylight throughout the day while maintaining a close connection to the surrounding gardens. Elegant without feeling formal, it offers a graceful setting for ceremonies in every season.
Together, the two spaces give couples the flexibility to embrace the estate’s gardens or gather indoors while remaining immersed in the property’s character.
During warmer months, guests can gather on the lawns in front of the Georgian manor house, enjoying champagne, cocktails and canapés against a backdrop of landscaped gardens and countryside views.
Inside, a collection of restored reception rooms offers an equally inviting alternative. The Gunroom Bar, Drawing Room and Dining Room retain their Georgian character while providing comfortable spaces for guests to gather throughout the afternoon and evening. Original features, warm lighting and thoughtfully restored interiors create a welcoming retreat.
One of the advantages of a wedding at Boyne Hill House is the opportunity for guests to stay on site and enjoy the estate beyond the wedding day itself. The estate offers 43 guest rooms, allowing family and friends to stay together and make the most of the wedding weekend from arrival through to breakfast the following morning.
The Georgian manor house accommodates close family and members of the wedding party across eight bedroom suites, each thoughtfully designed to complement the building’s period features. Alongside the bedrooms, guests have access to elegant social spaces that encourage a relaxed, house-party atmosphere throughout the celebrations.
For the newlyweds, the Couple Suite provides a private retreat complete with a four-poster bed and spacious en-suite bathroom.
Additional accommodation is available at The Courtyard Mews, where 35 guest bedrooms are arranged around a picturesque courtyard.
Food plays a central role in the experience at Boyne Hill House. Menus are led by the estate’s in-house catering team, which focuses on seasonal ingredients, local produce, and the rich agricultural heritage of the Boyne Valley.
Each wedding menu is tailored to the couple, ensuring the dining experience feels personal to the celebration. From canapés during drinks receptions to wedding breakfasts, evening food and the following morning’s breakfast, every meal is approached with care and attention to detail.
The team works closely with couples to accommodate dietary requirements and preferences, ensuring every guest feels considered throughout the day. The result is thoughtful, generous dining that reflects both the estate’s hospitality and its connection to the surrounding region.
The Boyne Valley is one of Ireland’s most historic and scenic regions, making Boyne Hill House an excellent base for a wedding weekend.
Guests extending their stay can explore nearby landmarks, including the Hill of Tara, Newgrange, Slane Castle and Trim Castle, while the Meath coastline offers easy access to beaches and coastal walks. Closer to the estate, visitors will find golf courses, riverside trails, woodland walks, independent shops, traditional pubs and excellent restaurants.
The nearby towns of Navan, Slane and Drogheda provide additional amenities and accommodation options, ensuring guests have plenty to discover before and after the celebrations. For couples planning a destination wedding, the surrounding area adds another layer to the experience, inviting guests to spend longer exploring this part of Ireland.
The estate is approximately 45 minutes from Dublin Airport, 50 minutes from Dublin city centre and around an hour from Belfast. Drogheda is about 20 minutes away, while Navan is just a short drive away.
Guests travelling by car benefit from straightforward access via the M3 motorway, and ample on-site parking is available throughout the celebrations. For those arriving internationally, Dublin Airport provides convenient connections across Europe, the UK and beyond, with taxis and private transport easily arranged to and from the estate.
We organise wedding showcases throughout the year, giving couples the opportunity to explore Boyne Hill House, experience the estate's atmosphere, and meet our wedding team. Private viewings are also available by appointment at a time that suits you.
Couples who have booked their wedding with us are invited back for planning meetings, menu tastings, and dedicated open days in the lead up to their celebration. For couples living overseas or unable to visit in person, we also offer a 3D virtual tour and full online gallery.
