Just 35 minutes from Dublin and surrounded by the rolling landscape of the Boyne Valley, Boyne Hill House Estate offers a countryside setting that feels wonderfully removed from the everyday. A long avenue lined with mature trees leads guests towards the estate, creating a sense of arrival from the very beginning.
At its heart sits a blush-pink Georgian manor house, framed by gardens, open countryside and established greenery that changes with the seasons. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming, whether you’re gathering outside on a summer afternoon or celebrating beside candlelight during the winter months.
The Secret Garden is a secluded outdoor space with winding pathways, established planting and views towards the River Boyne. A garden gazebo forms the focal point for ceremonies, while streams and mature greenery create a relaxed atmosphere that feels closely connected to the landscape around it.
For indoor celebrations, the Conservatory provides a light-filled alternative. Carefully restored and centred beneath a striking glass roof, the space welcomes natural daylight throughout the day while maintaining a close connection to the surrounding gardens. Elegant without feeling formal, it offers a graceful setting for ceremonies in every season.
Together, the two spaces give couples the flexibility to embrace the estate’s gardens or gather indoors while remaining immersed in the property’s character.
During warmer months, guests can gather on the lawns in front of the Georgian manor house, enjoying champagne, cocktails and canapés against a backdrop of landscaped gardens and countryside views.
Inside, a collection of restored reception rooms offers an equally inviting alternative. The Gunroom Bar, Drawing Room and Dining Room retain their Georgian character while providing comfortable spaces for guests to gather throughout the afternoon and evening. Original features, warm lighting and thoughtfully restored interiors create a welcoming retreat.
One of the advantages of a wedding at Boyne Hill House is the opportunity for guests to stay on site and enjoy the estate beyond the wedding day itself. The estate offers 43 guest rooms, allowing family and friends to stay together and make the most of the wedding weekend from arrival through to breakfast the following morning.
The Georgian manor house accommodates close family and members of the wedding party across eight bedroom suites, each thoughtfully designed to complement the building’s period features. Alongside the bedrooms, guests have access to elegant social spaces that encourage a relaxed, house-party atmosphere throughout the celebrations.
For the newlyweds, the Couple Suite provides a private retreat complete with a four-poster bed and spacious en-suite bathroom.
Additional accommodation is available at The Courtyard Mews, where 35 guest bedrooms are arranged around a picturesque courtyard.
Food plays a central role in the experience at Boyne Hill House. Menus are led by the estate’s in-house catering team, which focuses on seasonal ingredients, local produce, and the rich agricultural heritage of the Boyne Valley.
Each wedding menu is tailored to the couple, ensuring the dining experience feels personal to the celebration. From canapés during drinks receptions to wedding breakfasts, evening food and the following morning’s breakfast, every meal is approached with care and attention to detail.
The team works closely with couples to accommodate dietary requirements and preferences, ensuring every guest feels considered throughout the day. The result is thoughtful, generous dining that reflects both the estate’s hospitality and its connection to the surrounding region.
The Boyne Valley is one of Ireland’s most historic and scenic regions, making Boyne Hill House an excellent base for a wedding weekend.
Guests extending their stay can explore nearby landmarks, including the Hill of Tara, Newgrange, Slane Castle and Trim Castle, while the Meath coastline offers easy access to beaches and coastal walks. Closer to the estate, visitors will find golf courses, riverside trails, woodland walks, independent shops, traditional pubs and excellent restaurants.
The nearby towns of Navan, Slane and Drogheda provide additional amenities and accommodation options, ensuring guests have plenty to discover before and after the celebrations. For couples planning a destination wedding, the surrounding area adds another layer to the experience, inviting guests to spend longer exploring this part of Ireland.
The estate is approximately 45 minutes from Dublin Airport, 50 minutes from Dublin city centre and around an hour from Belfast. Drogheda is about 20 minutes away, while Navan is just a short drive away.
Guests travelling by car benefit from straightforward access via the M3 motorway, and ample on-site parking is available throughout the celebrations. For those arriving internationally, Dublin Airport provides convenient connections across Europe, the UK and beyond, with taxis and private transport easily arranged to and from the estate.
We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better venue than Boyne Hill House. From the very first visit, the team were incredible – so warm, welcoming, and genuinely invested in making our wedding everything we wanted it to be. Nothing was ever too big of an ask, and they were so accommodating throughout the entire process.
We celebrated over three days – a pre-wedding dinner with our immediate family, the wedding day itself, and Day 2 celebrations – and every single part ran so smoothly. The level of organisation and care from the team was just exceptional, and it meant we could fully relax and enjoy every moment.
One thing that meant so much to us was how they went above and beyond to incorporate my husband’s Canadian traditions. They sourced ingredients and specially made Bloody Caesar cocktails and poutine for us, which was such a thoughtful and personal touch.
The food across all three days was absolutely incredible, and no one was ever hungry – something our guests are still talking about! The team were also amazing at anticipating our needs and taking care of things we didn’t even realise we needed, which made the whole experience feel effortless and stress-free.
A moment that really sums them up – on the morning of the wedding, my husband had an allergic reaction, and his eyes were quite puffy. Without hesitation, someone ran to the shop, got a cucumber, and sliced it for him to put on his eyes. It’s that level of care and attention that truly sets them apart.
A huge thank you to Sara, Elaine, Conrad, Linda, Suzanne, Lee, Claire, Olivia, Katie — and so many others I know I’m forgetting. In the lead-up to the wedding and for those three days, they genuinely felt like friends and family, and we already miss them. They played such a big part in making our wedding so special.
We’ve had countless compliments from our guests about the venue, the staff, and the food – and we couldn’t agree more. If you’re considering Boyne Hill House, don’t hesitate to choose it for your big day! It is truly something special.
Married March 2026
Our wedding day (as cliché as it sounds) was the best day of our lives, and the best decision we made was choosing Boyne Hill House as our wedding venue. The team were amazing, and we want to thank them for going above and beyond for us and making us feel so special, supported and completely at ease from start to finish.
Boyne Hill House was the first venue we viewed when we got engaged in 2024. We were blown away by the stunning venue and the amazing treatment we were shown.
We chose to do the pre-wedding night with our family and bridal party. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone getting married! It was the best way for us to get settled, relaxed and feel at home in the venue.
I cannot get over how thoughtful, calm and attentive the whole team were throughout! Elaine was an absolutely life saver on both days. From looking after us during pre-wedding dinner to quietly stepping in when we were struggling to stitch a belt onto my sister’s bridesmaid dress. After we gave up, she discreetly took care of it – having my sister try it on and stitch it on for her perfectly. My mum didn’t even realise it had been taken care of until the next morning! Elaine also came to the rescue when my bustle wasn’t cooperating!
I have to give a special mention to Conrad, who my husband was absolutely mad about! He made sure we were all so well looked after, and kept the Moscow mules flowing! I also have to give a special mention to Linda, who was an absolute star on the morning and made sure we were all well fed and looked after.
The day itself wouldn’t have come together so smoothly without Sara. From our final details meeting, we saw how much thought and effort she put into our big day. Sara worked tirelessly behind the scenes, making sure everything ran perfectly. Between getting me dressed and keeping me calm, she quietly solved any issues that came up without letting me know until it had been resolved. Most importantly, when we came back from the church, she was at the door of the house ready to greet us with a glass of bubbles and a hug, which was really appreciated!
We received a huge amount of compliments from our guests about how gorgeous the venue was, how attentive the staff were and how amazing the food was. And we honestly could not agree more; the team at Boyne Hill House went above and beyond for us, and we cannot thank them enough.
Married February 2026
We got married at Boyne Hill House in February 2026 – we are a little late getting around to our review, which is in part due to landing back on earth after an incredible weekend. We would like to sincerely thank the entire team for making our wedding weekend so special. From the moment we arrived, everything was exceptionally well organised and ran seamlessly, allowing us to fully relax and enjoy every part of the celebration.
We rented the venue the day before the wedding, allowing our family and guests to arrive early, settle in and enjoy the occasion together in a relaxed setting before the wedding day itself. The chef and teams helped us co-ordinate a meal for our guests too. The food served the evening before was excellent, and we were particularly appreciative of Elaine, who ensured meals were kept aside for guests whose flights had been delayed.
We got lucky with the spring sunshine and even managed a group pre-breakfast pre-wedding jog about the grounds.
A special thank you to Sara, Claire and Katie for all of their guidance and support throughout the planning process, and to Catherine for helping our guests book accommodation.
Special shout out to Elaine for ensuring the day itself ran perfectly and for her great craic. Every detail was handled calmly and professionally, including small last-minute issues that were resolved without us ever needing to worry.
Very special mention to Linda! The lady of the Manor House. She is fantastic in keeping the Manor House in tip-top shape, helping our family and just being all around great. She kindly looked after everyone throughout the morning preparations (the bacon sandwiches delivered to the beauty room were especially appreciated)
The attention to detail throughout the weekend was outstanding. Many of our guests commented on the thoughtful touches included during the day ( PS the Guinness printing machine is worth a euro!), particularly the final surprise at the end of the evening as it was winding down.
The venue itself is absolutely beautiful. The grounds, secret garden and soak and sauna area all added to the experience, while the privacy of the estate made the entire weekend feel incredibly special and intimate. It genuinely felt as though we had stepped into our own fairy tale setting for the weekend.
The breakfast the following morning was also excellent, and several guests, including friends who had been married at other venues, commented on how friendly, calm and accommodating the staff at Boyne Hill House were throughout the entire weekend.
We could not have asked for a better venue or team to celebrate with and are extremely grateful to everyone at Boyne Hill House for making our Wedding so memorable.
Married April 2026
Where do we begin! We can’t put into words how amazing the Team are at Boyne Hill House.
We loved the venue when we went to view it, and speaking with Elaine on the day just sealed the deal; we felt they would take really good care of us. The communication with the team was always excellent, and nothing was a problem. The advice and guidance were fantastic, and we enjoyed building a relationship with the guys; we felt valued, and everything was in our best interest.
On the day, the team kept us calm and went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. The décor, food, drinks and atmosphere were better than we could have imagined. We had the best time, and our guests really enjoyed the day.
The venue speaks for itself, but it’s the team that’s there that really makes it special. A heartfelt thank you to all the team, especially Sara, Elaine, Linda, Catherine, Conrad and Claire.
Wish we could do it all again!
Married May 2026
We recently got married at Boyne Hill House and had the absolute best day! The wedding coordinators were so calm and helpful on the day, and made sure everything ran smoothly. In the run-up to the wedding, the staff were all so approachable and available to answer our queries, which made the planning stages so straightforward.
There are so many features to the estate that we absolutely love – making use of different settings throughout the building was a big hit for us. The dance floor set up works really well with couches right beside it so guests can sit and chat while still feeling part of the night. Getting married at Boyne Hill took a huge burden off us in terms of decor: the rooms and grounds are so beautiful, and there is a lot of decor provided, which saved us from arranging it ourselves.
We got beautiful photos indoors and outdoors. Our guests were really impressed with the venue too. We would 100% recommend getting married at Boyne Hill House!
