The Setting
Located close to the Suffolk / Essex border, the Barns are part of an ancient settlement at the end of a mile-long no through road and yet are easily accessible from the popular villages and market towns of Lavenham, Bury St Edmunds & Long Melford.
Together with the Church of St Peter & St Paul, Alpheton (and Alpheton Hall), they sit on approximately—25 acres of woodland and meadows surrounded by organic farmland, often with sheep grazing nearby.
The Vibe
Hold your ceremony in their beamed West Barn with a vintage tin roof and stone floor or the new Woodland Ceremony Glade before walking through to the Confetti Garden (Arboretum) with heart-shaped mown grass centre and tree trunk love seat all surrounded by wildflowers.
Enjoy your drinks reception in the Stackyard Wedding Garden with a brick terrace, marble-topped tables and oak pergola before making your way into the impressive beamed South Barn (10th-century origins), which offers all the space you need for your wedding breakfast, bar, band, DJ or other entertainment. Kitchens (for caterers and bar), smart WCs and a dedicated children’s room are all included.
Evening food can be enjoyed in the Barn courtyard, which has fairy-light-lit covered cart lodge seating and an outdoor kitchen with a woodfired pizza oven—the perfect place to cool off and unwind with friends and family.
Family run, flexible and friendly with an emphasis on personal rather than package, the team at Alpheton Hall Barns love nothing more than helping you create an amazing, beautiful and fun wedding, which is all about celebrating the two of you.
